Ronin Cafe - Cafe Interior

Industrial 60s, Ronin Cafe at Hong Kong Street, Singapore

The Ronin cafe is at 17 Hong Kong Street. There isn’t any sign and its entrance is not obvious, you might miss it easily.

Ronin Cafe

The design of the interior cafe is cool.

Ronin Cafe - Right of Cafe

The cafe has a industrial finishing with a modern drink-making counter, a modern open kitchen and a few modern furnitures matched with some 60s furnitures.

Another View of Cafe Interior, from the door

I chose to sit at a high table, next to the open kitchen, to have a bird-eye view of the cafe and I caught the barista in action. Look at her in the below photo, she is cool, isn’t she?

Ronin Cafe - Behind the Scene

At the Ronin, there is no menu, the server will narrate what was available in-house for the day or for the moment to you. For those who do not have good listening skill, it is time to train them.

Ronin Cafe - The Shooter Sandwich

I was there early in the morning for breakfast. They were serving scramble eggs and you could add-on items such as bacon, ham, saugages. I asked for sunny side-up but that wasn’t available. The other option were Salted Caramel Brownie, Scone and sandwiches. There were only two sandwiches available (usually four). The ‘Dirty Ronin’, with spicy sausages and the ‘Shooter’ is with ham. I don’t know what was the other two as I didn’t ask. I would love to try their Salted Caramel Brownie, will drop by some day to have it with the coffee.

Ronin Cafe - Old-School Drawer

My choice was the shooter as I don’t prefer spicy sausage. The ham was pretty salty but good for me, I need sodium as I am usually low in sodium.

Ronin Cafe - Cappuccino

The coffee was good with a good balance of aroma, body and acidity. A great start for the day. 🙂
