Wan Bar + Kitchen suited at level 1 of North Wing in Suntec City, next to tower 5. If you know where Cedele and Starbucks are, this may help you to locate them.
They are very much a drinking place, hence when I got the invite for a media tasting, I was skeptical.

Highlight Of Wan Bar + Kitchen Menu
Executive Chef Anthony designed an inventive menu, numerous familiar dishes were with a twist.
Angel Hair Pasta With Mentaiko and Scallop
First and foremost the Angel Hair Pasta With Mentaiko and Scallop for the mentaiko fan. With the right balance of creaminess and flavours in the al dente pasta.
Rock & Roll Ngo Hiang ($10)
Next is the crowd-favourite, Rock & Roll Ngo Hiang ($10). Glazed with Chinese vinegar and chipotle sauce elevated the flavour.
Mala Mafia Prawns ($16)
Mala Mafia Prawns ($16) was with the signature mala cream, tiger prawns and Melba Toast. I love especially the mala cream. Dip the toast with abundant mala cream was how I enjoy it. If you are looking for a drink pairing, enjoy the dish with Crazy B*tch ($15, Monkey Shoulder, Matcha Latte, Honey)
Cheesy Lobster Carrot Cake ($18)
I love the flavour profile of the Cheesy Lobster Carrot Cake ($18), sweetish from the floss and savoury from the cheese and carrot cake. Girl Next Door ($15, Hendrick’s Gin, Passion Fruit Tea, Lemon Juice) is the drink for this dish.
Wok-fried Omurice ($14)
Beneath the omelette of the Wok-fried Omurice ($14) is fragrant wok-fried rice with prawns, luncheon meat, shallots, and mushrooms. Mixed well with the shredded seaweed, vegetables and bonito flake for the best flavour. The alcoholic bubble tea for this dish is It’s Complicated ($15, Hendrick’s Gin, Green Tea, Lemon Peach Sour, Nata de Coco).
One last dish without photo, the addictive Movers & Shakers ($10). Shake well to mix the fried chicken skin with your choice of mala spice or seaweed powder. Paired this dish with The ‘Casanova’ ($15, Gin, Apple Juice, Apricot, Rose Syrup, Lime Juice, Lychee Balls).
Wantou Donuts
Finally, the dessert, Wantou Donuts, hybrid donut with 3 dips (Bandung, Peanut, Kaya). Lightly chewy, which reminds me of donut and mantou. Enjoy the dessert with Childhood Sweet Heart ($15, Whisky, Aperol, Yakult Grape, Lime Juice, Simple Syrup, Apple Nata de Coco)
NAHMJ Verdict
