Most will know what are the good food available at Seah Im Food Centre even though none are in Michelin Gourmand Bib listing. But little will hear about Eat 3 Bowls 呷三碗卤肉饭, the recent addition since 1st quarter of 2016. As I don’t eat Seah Im Food Centre for quite a while due to the hot weather. It was only recently that I got to know about it.
Since it is in a Food Centre, ambience is very much known to most. At times, it can be quite hot in there.
Braised Pork Rice 招牌卤肉饭 ($2.50) doesn’t come with an egg. Add $0.60 for a braised egg. I love the Braised Pork Rice, as it was extremely fragrance. But there are too much fats. Though I love egg, I think there is room for improvement. As the flavour from the braised sauce doesn’t get deep into the egg.
I am not a fan of Intestine Mee Sua 大肠面线 ($3.50) as I don’t like gluey food. As such, comparatively, I would choose the former.
The soft Braised Chinese Cabbage 卤白菜 ($3) is a flavourfull dish. With the deep fried egg white added to the dish elevated the taste profile of the otherwise simple dish.
NAHMJ Verdict
Not only the dishes are at wallet friendly prices, they are surprisingly delicious. I am a returned customer of Eat 3 Bowls ever since my first visit. No doubt I would highly recommend them to all.
