Woon Woon Pek Mee Hoon offers only White Mee Hoon paired with various seafood. In essence, there is only one dish. It depends on one’s preference to get the combination of seafood for the White Mee Hoon. There are standard offering and then diners have an option of add-on of the seafood. White Mee Hoon are in three sizes; small, medium and large.
We ordered the large White Mee Hoon with lots of seafood. The top is literally covered with seafood and Mee Hoon were buried underneath the pile of sea treasure. The large serving was meant for 4 pax but I assure you that it is more than enough for 6 ladies with normal eating appetite.
There were Crayfish, Prawns, Sliced Fish and Lala.
The only seafood that we did order was the Flower Crab.
Mee Hoon was very lightly chewy but lacking of wok hei (char flavour). The soup was also light in seafood and full of vegetable sweetness. Seafood were fresh.
NAHMJ Verdict
We thought the Woon Woon Pek Mee Hoon was wallet friendly. Though we were looking for more seafood punch in the soup and Mee Hoon with char flavour. When these elements are achieved, it would be perfect.
