Spice Brasserie of Parkroyal On Kitchen has been running the Battle of the Crab buffet for three successful round. Now, they have introduced the Union of Crabs and Lobsters Dinner Buffet. Beside crabs, diners could also enjoy lobsters in the same buffet. This is having the best of both world in one dinner. OMG! This is so unbelievable. To find out more of the promotion and what Spice Brasserie at Parkroyal On Kitchener has to offer at the Union of Crabs and Lobsters Dinner Buffet, you must read on.
The mastermind behind the Union of Crabs and Lobsters Dinner Buffet is Executive Chef Low Hoe Kiat who head the Spice Brasserie. He has curated a series of delish lobster dishes for this sumptuous buffet.
Diners could kick start the buffet dinner with Truffle Lobster with Marinated Jellyfish Salad appetiser which has subtle truffle fragrance to the tastebud and strong scent to the nose.
Follow the buffet dinner closely with sweetish Lobster Inari. These are topped with gold flake and cavair and the result of the combination is delish.
Most noteworthy dish in the buffet is also NAHMJ top favourite dish, the Flame-grilled Lobster Mentaiko. As this lobster dish is to die for we would glad give up the rest for this dish.
For diner who has lighter palate may prefer the Steamed ‘Live’ Boston Lobster in Chinese Wine which is equally fabulous.
Alternatively, diner could go after the Baked Lobster with Okiami and Natto Sauce as well. This has a taste profile similar to the Mee Rebus sauce according to Executive Chef Low. Somehow, I didn’t enjoy this.
Instead of having just whole lobster, Executive Chef Low created a puff pastry dish, the Lobster Wellington for a variety to the selection.
Should these not satisfy the tastebud and stomach of diners, more Mains are available at buffet.
Furthermore, Lobster Noodle Soup is another outstanding dish. The soup is flavourful with strong pepperish scent that emit slowly to the palate. Probably, diners will find the taste similar to Singapore favourite, the Prawn Soup Noodle.
Interestingly, the Crustacean Paella is also found at the buffet. Diners could enjoy an array of crustacean with rice.
The next rice dish found at the buffet is the Japanese Lobster Fried Rice.
In addition to all the dishes which were mentioned so far, three congee are available at the buffet too.
Namely are the Crustacean Congee, Lobster Congee and Crab Roe Congee.
Lastly, the Tandoori Crayfish is also available at the buffet. At 9pm, the Chef who are usually behind the scene at Spice Brasserie will walk around the restaurant to serve diners with this special dish. NAHMJ thought this is a great way for the chef to interact with the guests hence we welcome the idea.
