Ryoshi Sushi Ikeikemaru Singapore has been around at Liang Court for quite some years, passed by them when at Meidiya and yet have not dine there. Due to the Golden Jubilee Weekend, my brother and I popped over for dinner.
Ryoshi Sushi Ikeikemaru Singapore offers mainly sushi with little appetisers & sides, few noodles and don dishes. The seafood offered in the restaurant are shipped from Japan. We spotted lots of uncommon Sashimi slices on the sushi.
Sashimi
The only Sashimi platter we ordered was the Sashimi Moriawase consisting of Salmon, Tuna, Sweet Prawns, Scallop and I thought it was the Yellow Fin.
Sashimi Moriawase
We enjoyed the fresh quality seafood.
Sushi
Two of the choices we thought wasn’t too wise were the Tuna Mayo and the California Roll.
Tuna Mayo
Nothing fantastic.
California Roll
The amount of rice was too huge. If you need to fill your stomach, this is a great choice.
NAHMJ Top 3 Picks
Our top three choices of Sushi from Ryoshi Sushi Ikeikemaru Singapore .
Aburi Cheese Ebi
Aburi Salmon with Mentai Mayo
Engawa (Fluke Fin) with Mentai Mayo
If you enjoy rich flavoured food and sauce, the above is for you.
We were too safe with our choices and we did not try the sushi with some rarely seen sashimi.
Verdict
We felt the sushi rice used in Ryoshi Sushi Ikeikemaru Singapore was excellent. Likewise for its sashimi slices. When we returned, the top 3 sushi of our choice are the must have and we are going to attack the Wagyu Sushi which we missed this round. And of course some other sushi with the not so common fishes.
