Stepping into Hatter Street Bakehouse & Cafe is like stepping into a fairy tale setting, and that story is Alice in the Wonderland.
There are lots of elements that make the cafe feel so much like the wonderland Alice was in, such as the doodles, the painting
… and the ornaments.
Hatter Street serves mainly pastries and cakes and waffles and a list of beverages.
I was there to try the waffles as I saw some photos of the tempting waffles posted by friends in facebook. I can’t wait to try them.
The Waffles were termed as Woa’ffles. The Woa’ffles has a bread-like texture and it is a little crispy as a whole. It is not the airy, fluffy, crispy kind. The pandan ice cream and gula melaka sauce paired perfectly well with the Woa’ffles. Each flavour and scent were subtly combined to emit a well balance in all areas, even the sweetness level did the same.
As for the coffee … better to forego especially if you would describe yourself as a coffee snob.
In general, Hatter Street serves pretty good desserts in a mystical Hatter Street world, pretty comfortable though not as cosy per se. A good place to enjoy some desserts whenever you need.
