Philippines’ top trending Mango Soft Serve with queues over 4 hours is now opened at Capitol Piazza. The Philippines has one of the best Mango variant and it is little wonder why Maxi Mango could serve such delicious soft serve.

After its success in The Philippines, Maxi Mango ventured into Singapore setting up its first outpost at the Capitol Piazza.

In Singapore, five signature Maxi Mango soft serves: Mango Graham, Mango Keso, Mango Ube, Mango Coconut and the Maxi Mango were launched. Priced at $4.90 for 240ml and $6.90 for 480ml.

Maxi Mango is the original flavour. Rich intense Mango-flavoured soft-serve crowned with sweet Cebu Mango.

Next is the Mango Graham which is the Maxi Mango with graham cracker to give the additional crunch. An extreme popular item with the crowd.

Followed by the Mango Cocount, a special flavour available only at the Singapore outlet. Instead of mango fruit, it is replaced with refreshing coconut jelly.

Subsequently is the Mango Keso, a sweet and savoury due to the cheese topping and I love such taste profile.

Lastly, my ultimate favourite which I highly recommend is the Mango Ube. It is the Maxi Mango with purple yam sauce. The subtle flavour from the root vegetable is a perfect compliment to the mango. The purple colour is natural colouring from the root.

If you prefer to have the Shake, it comes in 2 flavours; Mango Shake, and the original Mango Graham Shake.

NAHMJ Verdict

Should you love intense flavoured soft-serve and in particular Mango flavour, look no more but turn to Maxi Mango.

FroRoll Singapore is not your usual Ice Cream Roll Dessert Cafe but something more. Not only they offer dessert worthy for the square but there is a lot more. If you follow closely the singing competition, Campus Superstar and in particular Season 2, you might have noticed Keely Wee who is a Finalist. She is the owner of this up and coming dessert cafe located at The Venue Shoppes in Potong Pasir.

A stone throw from Potong Pasir MRT station make the location accessible, hence very easy to locate the cafe too.

Space isn’t as Instagram worthy though. Everything in the cafe was simplicity and functional.

FroRoll Singapore, Not Your Usual Ice Cream Roll But Something More Worth Checking Out At The Venue Shoppes - Extravaganza Menu

On FroRoll Menu, they offer 2 range of desserts. First and foremost is the Back To Basic and the other is Extravaganza.

On Back To Basic, there are 5 items. First is the Strawberry Shawty ($10.80). Strawberry Ice Cream Roll on Bread Roll resemble the old-school ice cream sandwich with traditional bread. This series draws inspiration from this classic dessert we are all too familiar. By the side is the Florentine cookie, and digestive biscuit crumbles to add crunch and strawberry jello cheesecake bar to complement the dessert.

FroRoll Singapore, Not Your Usual Ice Cream Roll But Something More Worth Checking Out At The Venue Shoppes - Back To Basic Menu, Key Lime Pie ($10.80)

The other I tried was the Key Lime Pie ($10.80), a personal favourite between the 2. Similar to the above, instead of bread roll, we opted for waffle cone. This choice is possible for all items in the Back To Basic Menu. Lime & Calamansi Ice Cream Roll sat on the waffle with a almond cookie and granola crunch for texture and a Lemon Meringue Pie Bar.

FroRoll Singapore, Not Your Usual Ice Cream Roll But Something More Worth Checking Out At The Venue Shoppes - Volcanic Avalanche ($15.80)

Extravaganza Dessert is where the desserts get more interesting. The most popular of all is the Volcanic Avalanche ($15.80). Keely Wee a geography major and also a avid baker decided to combine both love and hence this dramatic dessert was born.  Such instagram worthy dessert reminds me of Non-Entree Dessert.

FroRoll Singapore, Not Your Usual Ice Cream Roll But Something More Worth Checking Out At The Venue Shoppes - Ice Cream Roll and Lava Molten Cake within the Volcano

Within the dark chocolate ‘volcano’, hidden the molten lava cake with vanilla ice cream roll. Surrounding the volcano are Brownie Chunks and Maple Granola. Crack the volcano to find the treasure within.

FroRoll Singapore, Not Your Usual Ice Cream Roll But Something More Worth Checking Out At The Venue Shoppes - Drinks

The popular Lightbulb Fruit Tea ($4.80) is also available at FroRoll. There are 3 flavours; My Fair Lady (Peach concentrates and Hibiscus Tea with Chia seeds, Summer in Ceylon (Mango & Lychee concentrate in Ceylon Tea with Nata De Coco) and lastly a new one, not on the menu, which I can’t remember the name.

NAHMJ Verdict

FroRoll Singapore true to their tagline, Handcrafted Ice Cream Made For Your Imagination.

Savourworld has opened! And this F&B cluster is opened 7 days a week! So come on down and experience this new foodie destination in the West!

What Is Savourworld?

Savourworld is a joint project by SAVOUR Events (Asia’s Premier Gourmet Festival) and Revolver Asia (F&B and lifestyle industry expert) to bring us the best gourmet dining with lifestyle activities under one roof. To achieve this, Mr Michel Lu of Revolver Asia personally curates one-of-a-kind restaurant brands for Savourworld. If a brand has more than one outlet, it will have to offer unique food items not found at their other outlets. Sounds cool, isn’t it?

In terms of location, Savourworld is also pretty unique. Taking up a vast 60,000 sq ft, it is able to house 30 different F&B brands, each with its own indoor dining area. But in case you have a big group with different food preferences, Savourworld also has a beautiful 250-seat outdoor courtyard for you to enjoy alfresco dining while ordering from any of the F&B brands. Best of all, while most restaurant enclaves are either inaccessible by public transport or plagued by a severe lack of parking spaces, Savourworld is a convenient 3 mins stroll away from Kent Ridge Station and has 300 covered car park lots available. There’s even complimentary parking after 6 pm on weekdays and all day on weekends and public holidays!

In addition, Savourworld has a 13,000 sq ft event space for monthly F&B events! The first event will be Oktoberfest, a German food and beer event happening this weekend in October 2017

The Food At Savourworld

Currently, 17 out of the 30 spaces at Savourworld are taken up. Among them, there is a good mix of Asian (Local, Japanese, Chinese) and Western (Turkish, Italian, French, Tex-Mex) cuisines on top of drinks, gelato and beer offerings.

NAHMJ was invited for a Asian food trail at Savourworld and we sampled various dishes from Cha Tra Mue, Coffee Break, Chinese Noodle Bar by Blue Lotus, Ramen Atelier, Kick Cafe, Tokyo Joe and Licktionary.

Cha Tra Mue

To kick start the food trail, we each had a cup of Thai Iced Milk Tea from Cha Tra Mue. Thai tea, also known as cha yen has been gaining popularity in Singapore. Among the many brands serving this strongly brewed ceylon tea with evaporated milk, Cha Tra Mue is said to be the best. After trying it, I agree. The sweetness is subtle (likely to have been tweaked to suit local palates) but it remains creamy with a strong tea fragrance. Just perfect.

Coffee Break

Next, we had Black Sesame Toast from hawkerpreneurs turned coffee cafe Coffee Break. Coffee Break serves toasts, local kopi and ang-moh coffee (eg. cafe latte). The interesting thing here is that they have special toast flavours like black sesame, rum and raisin, matcha azuki and even key lime creme (key lime is only available at Savourworld outlet)! Since we are on an Asian Food Trail, we tried the black sesame toast. Unfortunately, I found the black sesame paste lackluster for me. It was a tad sweet for my liking and did not have enough black sesame fragrance.

Chinese Noodle Bar by Blue Lotus

After the toasts, we were served Chilli Crab Xiao Long Bao and Truffle Pork Lard Noodles from Chinese Noodle Bar by Blue Lotus. As someone who loves spicy food, I had high expectations of the xiao long bao (dumpling). And it did not disappoint. The dumpling skin was not too thick and the spicy shredded crab filling was just too shiok! This is not the sweetish kind of chilli crab but the seriously spicy kind. I will put the spice level as 9 out of 10 so this is strictly recommended for people who can take their spice well. Some of my fellow diners took a bite and could not go on. For me, I was happily popping one after another into my mouth (in between sips of water)!

The Truffle Pork Lard Noodle from Chinese Noodle Bar by Blue Lotus was also pretty good. The noodles are of medium thickness and tastes similar to Japanese ramen. While I wasn’t too impressed with the dark sauce in this dish, I like the strong truffle aroma and super crunchy pork lard. As this dish is only served with pork lard and vegetables, it is a dish reserved for die-hard pork lard fans.

Ramen Atelier

Besides the truffle noodles, we also had Ramen Noir from French-Japanese ramen eatery Ramen Atelier, The black broth is a chicken and pork broth cooked with squid ink miso tare. The colour looks fabulous but taste was too flat. However, I did like the chewy noodle texture and thinly sliced pork belly chashu which tastes like bacon. Hence, I will probably return for the other broths at Ramen Atelier.

Kick Cafe

Moving on from the noodles, we had Nasi Lemak from Kick Cafe. The attractive Nasi Lemak was served with a big drumstick, hard boiled egg and homemade sambal. Looking at the huge drumstick was enough to get me salivating and tasting it just got me craving for more! The drumstick is pretty juicy and most importantly, I like that the crispy skin was marinated with tumeric. The rice also had a nice coconut aroma and a fluffy texture. Generally I like this dish. The only thing that was slightly disappointing was the sambal that wasn’t spicy enough.

Tokyo Joe

At Tokyo Joe (a chirashi place by day and izakaya bar by night), we had a pretty Signature Bara Chirashi Bowl. I am not a sashimi fan (I dislike the soft texture of raw fishes) so I generally do not order chirashi bowls. But surprisingly, I like this. Each mouthful of fresh tuna, salmon and hamachi cubes was delicious. I also like the subtly sweet egg omelette cubes. Unexpectedly, I found myself reaching for this bowl as often as the Nasi Lemak.

Licktionary

Lastly, we concluded the meal with some egg-less gelato at Licktionary. Like a dictionary, Licktionary gives a meaning to each lick (of gelato). For example, Lust is a luscious and sexy dark chocolate with brandied cherries gelato while Peace is a vanilla and chrysanthemum gelato. Other gelato names include Happy, Love, Naughty, Kampung, etc. Fascinated with all the names and the unique flavors, I sampled all 11 flavors. I liked all of them as they are not too sweet. If you like Birds of Paradise, you will like Licktionary.

NAHMJ Verdict

With such an accessible location (proximity to train station and abundance of parking spaces) and abundance of unique choices, I see no reason not to venture West this weekend for your meal!

The cafe scene is always at its Equilibrium, with an opening of one, bound to come with a closure of another. Kara Cafe & Dessert Bar is next to the now dysfunction cafe, The Missing Pan.

Kara Cafe & Dessert Bar is by Sogurt. Formerly, it was a pure Froyo Cafe. After rebranding, the sought-after Sogurt Froyo is still on the menu, with food incorporated in the menu too.

Kara Cafe & Dessert Bar By Sogurt Offering Healthier Option Mains At Bukit Timah - Facade

Kara Cafe & Dessert Bar By Sogurt Offering Healthier Option Mains At Bukit Timah - View from the back

Yet another design of tropical forest. The last was the Loloku Poke Bar. As you enter, you find a wall paper art-piece designed by local artist Mark Wee. The interior feel warm and welcoming.

On Kara Cafe & Dessert Bar menu, they feature toasts, rice bowl, some snack and a handful of desserts.

Kara Cafe & Dessert Bar By Sogurt Offering Healthier Option Mains At Bukit Timah - Classic Grilled Cheese ($10.50)

Kara Cafe & Dessert Bar By Sogurt Offering Healthier Option Mains At Bukit Timah - Between the sourdoug

Classic Grilled Cheese ($10.50) has an unusual item on the sandwich, sweetish pickle. I find it weird on my first bite. Then I try removing it and have the sandwich purely with cheese; the cheese was pungent. Hence adding pickle make lots of sense, lightening the feel. May it is better idea to leave the pickle by the side for diners to add according to their preference.

Kara Cafe & Dessert Bar By Sogurt Offering Healthier Option Mains At Bukit Timah - Apple & Coconut Crumble ($12)

Apple & Coconut Crumble ($12) was cloying sweet. The crumble masked the apple fragrance completely, leaving only the crunch to the dish. The froyo was a great add to the dessert as it added a refreshing dimension to the dish. Perhaps, reducing the amount of crumble and increase the froyo will be ideal.

Kara Cafe & Dessert Bar By Sogurt Offering Healthier Option Mains At Bukit Timah - Cappuccino ($5.50)

Coffee at Kara Cafe & Dessert Bar use the Throwback beans from Papa Palheta. Therefore expect the Cappuccino ($5.50) with a full body and low acidity filled with Dark Chocolate and rich Hazelnut tone.

Kara Cafe & Dessert Bar By Sogurt Offers Healthier Option At Bukit Timah - Roselle Iced Tea ($5)

For non-caffeine drink, a good choice is the Roselle Iced Tea ($5). Technically, it isn’t a tea but a brewed fruit drink. A lightly candied drink with a fruity hint. With Nata de Coco added to provide some chewy texture.

NAHMJ Verdict

Kara Cafe & Dessert Bar has quite some filling delish comfort food and coupled with dessert is certainly a perfect place for brunch.

Times flies, half a year passed by since we first visited Creamery Boutique Ice Creams Singapore when they started their initial outlet in Singapore through Franchise scheme at Tyrwhitt Road. The Creamery Boutique Ice Cream outlet is made possible through the partnership of Chin Wan, an ex-food scientist who loves sweets and desserts.

Interiorly nothing much has changed except for more accessories added to beautify the space. The number of flavours offered remain each day  as well. In addition, the flavours are rotated on a daily basis too. What has changed was the way they served the Lava Cookies Ice Cream. Now, they will only top the ice cream onto the lava cookies when served at the table. In addition, they will ensure that you are ready with your camera before doing so.

Creamery Boutique Ice Creams At Tyrwhitt Road - Lava Cookies

What’s new next? Salted Egg Fan listen!! You are in for a treat! Volcano Lava Cookie ($9.90) with savoury salted egg lava that flow from the cookies. If you are a super hardcore fan like me, top it off with the Salted Egg White Caramel Ice Cream. Finally, quite some salted egg white are scattered over the dessert. Personally, I will request for salted egg yolk too.

Creamery Boutique Ice Creams Singapore With Everything Salted Egg - Volcano Lava Cookie ($9.90)

If you really have to try this combination but aren’t die-hard fan, remember to ask along a friend.

Creamery Boutique Ice Creams Singapore With Everything Salted Egg - Choc-a-lot ($8.90)

Next coming up is a combination which I love very much, Choc-a-lot ($8.90) with Ca Le Ho Yo Ice Cream. The buttery cookies with dark chocolate lava flow is highly, highly recommended by NAHMJ. As for the ice cream, which has Cardamom, a unique spice used in lots of Indian cuisine, Lemon, Honey and Yogurt. The sourish ice cream, though some felt it was awfully sour, we love it.

Creamery Boutique Ice Creams Singapore With Everything Salted Egg -Brownie Cookie, non-Lava ($7.90)

Lastly the Brownie Cookie, non-Lava ($7.90) with Berry Cheesecake Ice Cream. This combination reminded me of Blackforest Cake. This cookie is extremely popular with kids.

Creamery Boutique Ice Creams Singapore With Everything Salted Egg - Yuzu Soda

This round I tried Yuzu Soda which I love it as it was lightly sweetened.

NAHMJ Verdict

NAHMJ found Creamery Boutique Ice Creams as good it was at our revisit. We were glad that their standard maintained.

Lab Made Singapore is now at West Gate. The famous Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream hailed from Hong Kong, attracting long queue daily, has finally made its way to Singapore. They found their first home at West Gate is for takeaway only.

I first visited Lab Made Hong Kong at their Miramar Shopping Centre outlet and was very impressed with the making process due to the dramatic smoke effect and certainly the taste too. Ever since, I have revisited them whenever in Hong Kong and without failed there is a beeline.

Lab Made Singapore, Popular Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream From Hong Kong Here At West Gate - Counter

Lab Made Singapore, Popular Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream From Hong Kong Here At West Gate - Menu

Like their  Hong Kong outlets, there are 4 flavours on the menu daily. With over 100 of flavours with some sugar-free created in Hong Kong, Lab Made Singapore planned to rotate the flavours every 2 months, whereas in Hong Kong, flavours are rotated on a 2 week-basis.

By now, Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream isn’t new in Singapore, though Lab Made could probably be the one who started the trend and paved the way for the rest to follow. As such most would be familiar with the making process as well.

Lab Made Singapore, Popular Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream From Hong Kong Here At West Gate - ouring Liquid Nitrogen into the mixture to freeze them

Lab Made Singapore, Popular Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream From Hong Kong Here At West Gate - Scooping end product

In case, you aren’t familiar, in summary, the cream mixture is added to the mixer with liquid nitrogen to freeze them. Finally, it reached a certain consistency, sccop them into cup and add the toppings and sauce. Now ready to serve.

We tried 3 out of the 4 flavours as the Beancurd Dessert ($6.90) was unavailable on the day of our visit.

Lab Made Singapore, Popular Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream From Hong Kong Here At West Gate - Salted Egg Yolk Custard Bun ($6.90)

My favourite flavour is the Salted Egg Yolk Custard Bun ($6.90). This is on of the highly popular flavour in Hong Kong. A must for salted egg yolk fan. You could easily savour the salted egg at the first mouth and it is lightly sweet.

Crunchy Sea Salt with Salted Caramel ($6.90) is another extremely popular flavour too. Sea Salt was added to the lightly sweetened vanilla ice cream with salted caramel drizzled on the finished product. We prefer it with more intense caramel flavour.

Lab Made Singapore, Popular Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream From Hong Kong Here At West Gate - Crunchy Sea Salt with Salted Caramel ($6.90)

Lastly, the HK French Toast ($6.90). The sweetest among the 3 flavour. Eggy and sweet with crispy bread in it. Delish though nothing comes close to the French Toast though.

Lab Made Singapore, Popular Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream From Hong Kong Here At West Gate - HK French Toast ($6.90)

NAHMJ Verdict

The liquid nitrogen ice cream by Lab Made Singapore is smooth and creamy with various sweetness level for different flavours. Each cup is considerably tiny for me. I could easily have 2 cups each time. Certainly enjoyable. I am planning to return in 2 months time for other flavours.

Ice Cream parlour is found at every corner of Singapore. In Tampines alone, there are a handful. One of which we visited is Ice Cream Skool. Not so how the name come from but it gave me a feel of school and cool. It is started by 2 ladies who loves their ice cream. I suppose the shop will satisfy their craving any time.

The interior and facade isn’t impressive. One would quickly classified it as the HDB look kind of shop. At Ice Cream Skool, they don’t only serve as a retail but they offer catering too.

Ice Cream Skool At Tampines Street 42 - Facade

Ice Cream Skool At Tampines Street 42 - Menu

Since Ice Cream is the focus let’s zoom in to the desserts first. Like all other ice cream parlour, Ice Cream Skool too, offers waffle and various flavours of ice cream. Buttermilk Waffle ($3.50), Double Choc Waffle ($4.20) and for the Matcha fan, there is the Matcha Waffle ($3.80). Top it up with ice cream, Mini ($2), Single scoop ($3), Double ($5.80) and Triple ($8.40). Add $0.50 for each toppings if desire.

The waffle in general is dense with crispy exterior and flavourful. We adore the matcha as it has a good scent, though we wouldn’t mind if it is stronger. While the ice cream is light in creaminess. We have the Mango Yoghurt, Peppermint Choc, Mao Shan Wang, Chocolate, Cookies and Cream and can’t remember the last flavour.

If you are looking for food, there are 3 pasta to choose from Creamy Mushrooms Pasta ($9.90) and Spicy Tom Yum Pasta ($10.90) are the 2 we tried. We love the latter as the former was a little too flat. The spice might be a little too much for a handful of diners. But I am sure most could tolerate it. In addition, the pasta is a little too soft. The third pasta that we did not try was the Fried Chicken Pasta ($9.90).

Ice Cream Skool At Tampines Street 42 - Spicy Tom Yum Pasta ($10.90)

Ice Cream Skool At Tampines Street 42 - Creamy Mushrooms Pasta ($9.90)

If diners prefer to have lightbites, turn to Chicken-in-a-waffle ($4.90). This waffle was rather fluffy and lightly crispy with fried chicken sandwiched in between the waffle. It would be fabulous if there were more maple syrup.

Ice Cream Skool At Tampines Street 42 - Chicken-in-a-waffle ($4.90)

Ice Cream Skool At Tampines Street 42 - Soup & Bread ($3.20)

Soup & Bread ($3.20) was good for one. The soup was creamy with lightly mushroom-flavoured. We love the garlic bread more than the soup though. Third lightbite that was unavailable that day was the Cheese Sausage Bun ($3.90).

At Ice Cream Skool, they too offer a range of drinks with the usual tea and coffee. A pity, they don’t have my favourite Cappuccino on the menu, hence I opted Cafe Latte ($3.90). The coffee was a little too milky but considering the price, it was more than decent. It was nutty, low acidity with medium to full body.

Ice Cream Skool At Tampines Street 42 - Cafe Latte ($3.90)

One of the drinks Ice Cream Skool highly recommended was the Milkshake ($4.90 for Regular / $6.90 for Large). This is a highly customised drink, whereby diner could choose up to 2 flavours. The flavour was highly concentrated.

Ice Cream Skool At Tampines Street 42 - Milkshake ($4.90 - R)

Ice Cream Skool At Tampines Street 42 - Ice Matcha ($5.90) and Ice Chocolate ($5.90)

Other ice drinks with a scoop of vanilla ice cream are also available. We tried the Ice Matcha ($5.90) and Ice Chocolate ($5.90). At such wallet friendly price, we couldn’t complain.

NAHMJ Verdict

We thought Ice Cream Skool offers decent savoury food items and above average desserts great for especially the kids in the area.

The space formerly occupied by Dose Cafe is now home to Creamery Boutique Ice Creams. They originated in Bangkok since 5 years ago, in case you weren’t aware of their presence. Strangely, they came to Singapore after setting up a number of shops in Malaysia.

I prefer how Creamery Boutique Ice Creams made use of the space to give the maximum number of dinning area and the cheery feel mainly due to the lemon yellow triangle of a wall.

Creamery Boutique Ice Creams At Tyrwhitt Road - Dinning Area

At Creamery Boutique Ice Cream, they offer the Cookie Set, similar to Kooks Creamery. Though there are 5 Cookie Set, only 3 are with lava, Chocalot, Monster Matcha and Red Devil (red velvet cookies with cream cheese). All these lava cookies, inclusive of a scoop of ice cream, are priced at $8.90 each. Topped it up with ice cream at $3.80 for 1 scoop, $6.20 for 2 scoops and $8.90 for 3 scoops.

At Creamery Boutique Ice Creams, they offered unique combination of flavours with interesting names. Such as Counter Strikes, Piko Piko, Zombie Food and so on. Interesting flavour such as Bak Kwa and Egg.

Creamery Boutique Ice Creams At Tyrwhitt Road - Cookie Set Menu

We got the Matcha Lava Cookies with Counter Strike Ice Cream and Red Devil Lava Cookies with Banoflee Ice Cream.

Creamery Boutique Ice Creams At Tyrwhitt Road - Matcha Lava Cookies with Counter Strike Ice Cream ($12.70)

Creamery Boutique Ice Creams At Tyrwhitt Road - Red Devil Lava Cookies with Banoflee Ice Cream ($12.70)

Comparing Creamery Boutique Ice Creams and Kooks Creamery, we noted quite some differences. First, Creamery Boutique chose to serve the ice cream together with the cookies while Kooks have them separated and diners could add the scoop onto the cookies whenever they are ready for a video or photography session.

Next we also noted the differ texture of the cookies. Creamery version is more doughy while Kooks has it more crunchy. Thirdly was the ice cream texture. Creamery isn’t as creamy as Kooks. Lastly, Kooks is cheaper. At $8.50, the set consists of Lava Cookies cum a scoop ice cream.

Creamery Boutique Ice Creams At Tyrwhitt Road - Lychee Ice Cream Soda ($5.50)

Beside the Lava Cookie, Creamery Boutique Ice Creams offers both coffee and tea too. And 4 iced drink, Ice Cream Shake ($6.90), Ice Cream Smoothie ($6.90), Yuzu Soda ($4.90) and we tried the Lychee Ice Cream Soda ($5.50). A lightly sweet, refreshing drink.

NAHMJ Verdict

We can’t help but to compare Creamery Boutique Ice Creams and Kooks. Overall, out of 5 diners who tried, 4 preferred Kooks while the 5th has yet to try Kooks though.

Side Note: We revisited in July 2017 for its Salted Egg Lava Cookies. Read more …

Another popular Korean dessert brand, Kiss The Tiramisu, has landed on the shore of our sunny island. Their first outlet in Singapore exist as a takeaway outlet. It is found next to an entrance in Orchard Gateway, facing Somerset Road.

They have their presence in many part of Asia such as Hong Kong and the nearest being Bangkok. Hence this may be a familiar brand to many.

Kiss The Tiramisu At Orchard Gateway - Facade

I heard lots of positive review about the version in Bangkok therefor I am excited to try. Kiss The Tiramisu offers a limited menu with 3 different flavours of soft serve. First is the Original Tiramisu Ice Cream. Next is the Banana Tiramisu Ice Cream and lastly the Berry Tiramisu Ice Cream. All 3 flavours are at $6.90 each.

Kiss The Tiramisu At Orchard Gateway - Chocolate Dusting

Kiss The Tiramisu At Orchard Gateway - Chocolate Shaving

I tried only the best selling item, Original Tiramisu Ice Cream.

Kiss The Tiramisu At Orchard Gateway - Original Tiramisu Ice Cream ($6.90)

All the soft serve ice cream are served in pretty plastic wine glass-looking cup with gold finishing that gave an impressive look.

NAHMJ Verdict

I felt Kiss The Tiramisu ice cream is nothing more than vanilla soft serve with chocolate dusting. I can’t even recall if there is any lady finger or biscuit crumb in there.
