The Coffee Cart Cafe has a simple setup at Crawford Lane. The centre piece of display in the cafe is the Coffee Cart. The design is pretty minimalist.

 

 

What attracted me at the cafe was in fact a teddy bear sitting in a cart, caring for its menu.I even took the Teddy Bear for a photo shot. Lol. Pop over to my instagram @NAHMJ  to view that lovely photo.

 

 

There isn’t much ornament around the cafe, other than a row of menu hung and some pictures and dried flowers on the table.

 

 

Oh ya, and a globe.

 

Menu

Menu was kept at single page with beverages on the left and food on the right.

 

 

Beverages offered were coffee, chocolate; both hot and iced, and tea. Food, you will find some cakes, pies and wrap on display. On the day of my visit, I spotted the All Natural Rainbow Cake, Red Velvet, a Chocolate Cake and the Thai Tea Cake. You will find the Beef Pie, wraps, Cookies and Granola too.

 

Food – Cakes & Pastries

Among the cakes choices, I opted to try the Thai Tea Cake.

 

 

The cake composed of two layers of Thai Tea flavoured cake with Cream Cheese Frosting in between and around the cake. On top was some grated coconut too. The Thai Tea flavour was a little weak, mainly the cream cheese frosting taste. The cake was spongy and soft.

 

Drinks – Coffee

The coffee offered at The Coffee Cart was low acidity, medium to low body with mainly nutty flavour note and a little tea hint.

 

 

In a nutshell, it was decent.

 

Verdict

Despite the simple offerings at The Coffee Cart, I like the friendly and warm service and the ambience too. It wasn’t the most cosy or the most hip cafe but comfortable for me to spend some me time.

Please note that Cash is the only payment mode at The Coffee Cart.
