Dashi Master Marusaya’s NEW Lunch Sets – Roberston Quay

Dashi Master Marusaya, located at Roberston Quay, facing the serene Singapore River is fame for their Dashi Shabu Shabu which I tried previously and I love it. With three private rooms, the 90-seater Dashi Master Marusaya is perfect for business lunches and a casual meal with your loved ones.

Dashi Master Marusaya is the flagship restaurant of the Marusaya group specialising in traditonal Dashi Shabu. Founded in 1962, Marusaya is a wholesaler dedicated to Katsuobushi (dried bonito) for professional use. In addition to Dashi Master Marusaya, the group also owns TEN Sushi at Robertson Quay and Monte Risaia at Duxton.

This round I returned for Dashi Master Marusaya’s NEW Lunch Sets, ranged from $16++ to $58++.

Be prepared to be spoiled for choice. Diners can choose Marusaya Udon (Hot or Cold) Set Lunch; Dashi Shabu Set Lunch, a must if it is your first visit. Their dashi is 100% natural and does not contain MSG or other artificial seasoning. Alternatively, go for the Rice Bowl Set Lunch, Tantalising Set Lunch.

New on the menu is the Hot Toban. The Wagyu ($48++) and Seafood Toban ($48++) are both highly recommended.

Diners could choose 3 sides when ordering the set lunch.

Lastly, if you are in the mood, go for the luxurious Shokado Bento. Comes with Dashi Master Marusaya’s signature appetisers, chawanmushi (Japanese steamed egg), tempura, grilled fish, meat, two kinds of sashimi, small rice bowl (Salmon and Ikura),and small udon (hot)

NAHMJ Verdict

If you can’t decide what to choose, you are not the only person. Perhaps the best way is to visit Dashi Master Marusaya on several occasions to try them all.
