It was a pity that I have missed the first and was glad that I managed to try the Second Shikoku Gourmet Fair by Sun With Moon Japanese Dining & Cafe is featuring numerous dishes from 4 prefectures; Ehime, Kagawa, Kochi and Tokushima.
Sun With Moon needs little introduction, since it has been at its present location, Wheelock Place for years.
Second Shikoku Gourmet Fair
Kick-start the meal with a Roku Gin based drink. There are 4 drinks (if my memory serve me well) to choose from.
Roku Gin Lychee Liquer ($9.50)
I tried the highly recommended Roku Gin Lychee Liquer ($9.50). Lightly saccharine lychee-flavoured aerated drink; it was refreshing.
From Kochi Prefecture
Acquired-taste in the flame-seared Bonito fillet in the Katsuo Tataki ($15.80), which some may describe as fishy. You will need to enjoy it with the Ponzu sauce and the many other ingredients to complement the unique flavour.

Crowd-approved Beef Fillet Aburi Young Garlic Leaves Miso ($19.80) is succulent.
From Tokushima Prefecture
I am pretty sure that the Take Chikuwa Aburi ($10.80) will please the young and old. Enjoy it with some of the condiment by the sides, elevate the flavour.

If you prefer deep-fried food, opt for the Jyako Katsu ($6.80), deep-fried fish cake with carrot.

Tokuri Kamakeshi ($22.80)
Tokuri Kamakeshi ($22.80) reminded me of my late-grandma’s Fried Chestnut Rice. It is such a comfort food. The Japanese version allows diners to enjoy it 2-way, with or without dashi.
From Kagawa Prefecture
Last but not least is a dish from Kagawa Prefecture, Kakiage Hiyashi Sanuki Udon ($14.80). I don’t usually opt for Cold Udon but this one was mind-blowing. The chewiness and the flavour of the dashi and the tempura contributed to the tastier aroma as all flavours mingled in symphony.

NAHMJ Verdict
I am so convinced of the flavour of the dishes offered on Second Shikoku Gourmet Fair of Sun With Moon’s menu. I will return to try other dishes.
