Qi Lai Feng, QQMuscleFish Hotpot, At Chinatown Point – Chinatown, Singapore

Qi Lai Feng, a Chinese restaurant found home at Chinatown Point. With well connected public transport; it is a highly accessible for diners to travel there to enjoy a meal of Chinese food.

This restaurant specialised in dry pot with grass crap feed on a specific diet and plan to give the chewy texture with pork-like texture. It is a must try for the experience.

Bottom of Mandarin Duck Pot 椒香鱼锅 ($38.80 for small pot) is the specialty dish of Qi Lai Feng which diners must not miss. In this pot, it consists of Q Fish, the highlight of Qi Lai Feng, with Yuba, Enoki Mushroom & Konjac Noodle.

Customers can choose to add on free pork bone broth when the hotpot is at a third of the portion. And now it will be like a hotpot, diner can choose to order more ingredients for the hotpot.

In addition to the Q Fish, we love the Sauerkraut Fish Pot 精品酸菜鱼锅 ($38.80 for small pot). Other choices include Gold Soup Lemon Fish Pot and the Tomato Fish Pot.

Beside the dry and hotpot, diners could order some sides dishes such as Collagen Q Fish Ribs 胶原脆骨 ($10.80), one of the best seller. Though I didn’t enjoy it.

Or select a familiar dish, the Saliva Chicken 口水鸡 ($8.80). Taste-wise was ordinary though. Other Chinese delights include the Baby Lobster and Pickled Pepper Frog which I am keen to try at my next visit.

NAHMJ Verdict

We thought it is worth trying the Q Fish dry pot since Qi Lai Feng is the sole restaurant that offer this unique item. And having it dry first and next as hotpot is a bonus.
