Delicious Italian Food At Amo Restaurant – Clarke Quay, Singapore

We returned to Amo Restaurant located at Hong Kong Street that serve delicious Italian delicious food which we recon at our media tasting a year ago.

This round, it was for a friend’s birthday celebration. The result was great fellowship with delicious food. Read on to find out what we ordered.

Delicious Italian Food

A total of 7 categories were on the menu, with selection of Antipasti, Classic Pizza, Signature Pizza, Homemade & Artisanal Pastas, Mains and Wood Fired Grills, Salads & Sides and lastly Desserts. Typical menu of an Italian Restaurant.

We begin with boring unadventurous selections but delicious Italian food choices of Crispy Calamari with Sumac and Sundried Tomato Aioli ($21) and crowd favourite, Hand Cut Fries with Rosemary and Truffe Mayo ($12). What’s stand out was, both were deep-fried to perfection.

Pizza, Pastas & Mains

Working into the Pizza. We have one from the Signature collection, Broccolini, Pancetta, Pumpkin and Smoked Mozzarella ($28). The combination of the ingredients on the pizza was unusual and somewhat weird, but be reassured, it was extremely tasty. The smokiness together with the sweetness from pumkin and broccolini and savoury pancetta were excellent symphony of flavours.

Turn to Bianca ($24) with Buffalo Mozzarella, Garlic and Oregano ($24) in the Classic Pizza section for a safe choice. A garlicy cheesy pizza with herb to elevate the flavour. In case you are wondering what’s the pizza base, they are on sourdough.

Amo Restaurant is fame for their Spaghetti Chitarra with Boston Lobster and Tarragon, but since someone in the group is allergy to lobster we have to skip that. Instead, we ordered the Fettuccine with Beef Shank, Mushrooms and Orange Salmoriglio ($28) which turned out to be an excellent choice as well. It was refreshing to use orange salmoriglio, a orange with olive oil based as the pasta sauce.

Flavourful Iberico Pork Chop with Spicy Broccolini and Celeriac Puree ($32) was a superb choice.

Desserts

End the meal with 2 desserts; Chocolate Tart with Green Tea and Yuzu Meringue ($12) for the chocolate fan and if you prefer a sourish dessert, opt for Lemon Baba with Custard, Mango Sorbet and Mixed Berries ($15).

NAHMJ Verdict

Once again, Amo Restaurant served delicious Italian food that satisfy not only our stomach but tastebuds too.
