After two years, Flaming Don new I]items are launched. We first visited Flaming Don 烤丼 for their value-for-money Don when they first open and impressed for the standard at such an attractive price point.

As such, it is inevitable to have some expectation for Flaming Don new items.

Flaming Don New Items

In this new menu, Flaming Don uses premium ingredients such as clams and crayfish. Like the Squid Ink Pasta, now you get squid-ink infused sushi rice. We tried and read on to find out the verdict.

Shoyu Crayfish Ramen is one of the ramen item available on the new menu. With shoyu broth-base and crayfish together with egg make an wholesome meal. The other tempting selection is the Herbal Clam Ramen served with clams in rich herbal pork broth.

For those who love beef and cheese, it is a no-brainer to opt for Gyuniku Cheese Don. Flaming Don offers affordable $8.90+ Set Lunch available every Monday – Friday, featuring 6 different donburis which include the Gyuniku Cheese Don. Other selection include Black Pepper Chicken Don and Salmon Aburi Don. All Set Lunch comes completed with free-flow miso soup and drinks such as homebrewed green tea and soft drinks. Students even get to enjoy an additional Chawanmushi on the house when they flash their student pass.

Teka Don comprises of squid-ink sushi rice crowns with fresh Maguro (Tuna) sashimi.

Other highly raved items is the Aburi Semi Saba Don consist of flame-seared Saba fish, set out on a bed of squid-ink sushi rice and the crowd pleaser Salmon Mentaiko Don.

NAHMJ Verdict

With free flow of miso soup and drink together with wholesome delicious Flaming Don new items, there is no reason to say No to such affordable meals.
