Blue Jasmine New Menu, Park Hotel Farrer Park – Farrer Park, Singapore

After 2 years, Blue Jasmine new menu was launched. I am excited to find out if they have maintained or up their standard. I have fond memories of the Thai dishes that I first savour.

Interior remains the same. I didn’t notice any change. Though they did some re-arrangement to the outdoor area.

Highlights of Blue Jasmine New Menu

In the new menu, there is no pork and no lard and they are featuring communal-style dishes with more street food items. First is the aromatic deep-fried Sesame Beef. A typical beer grub food but also great to go with rice. Dip in the home-made sauce for a different experience.

The ubiquitous Mango Salad offered at Blue Jasmine is with a twist, salted egg is added to give that intense savoury flavour. I find it helps to cut down the spiciness too.

Red Curry, with a choice of chicken or beef. Grapes, pineapples and lychees were added to the fresh coconut milk-based curry to give that sweet fruity hint.

Ending the meal with a sweet note, we recommend the Red Ruby with coconut ice cream and the Durian Pengat.

Lunch Set

Together with Blue Jasmine New Menu, they have launched the value-for-money lunch set, option of Rice or Noodle Lunch Set starting at $13++. Each lunch set comes with a dessert and a appetiser.

The Rice Lunch Set, Chicken Pad Kaprao, Thai basil chicken with snake beans served with Blue Jasmine signature blue Thai jasmine rice crowned with a fried egg. The set comes with vegetarian spring rolls and Thai chendol.

While the Noodle Lunch Set consists of glass noodles in an robust Southern-style Seafood Tom Yum Soup complemented with Thai fish cakes and the classic mango sticky rice dessert.

NAHMJ Verdict

I am so glad that dishes from the Blue Jasmine New Menu met my expectation. With the affordable lunch set, it would attract crowd.
