Mei Heong Yuen Dessert @ Liang Seah Street – Bugis, Singapore

For dessert lovers, here is a great news, Mei Heong Yuen Dessert @ Liang Seah Street is now opened. Adding to the number of existing dessert outlets in this street offering diners another fabulous option.

Mei Heong Yuen has been attracting long queue of desserts-lovers both local and tourists since 2002 with its first outlet in Chinatown. The brand has grown with its latest addition at 16 Liang Seah Street.

At Mei Heong Yuen, they offer 2 categories of desserts; first is the Traditional Chinese dessert and second is the Shaved Ice dessert, extremely popular with especially the youngsters.

Its signature and most well-known shaved ice dessert got to be the Chendol Ice ($6.50). I am one big fan who kept returning for more, especially on sweltering days.

Other crowd favourites include the Sesame Ice ($5.50). For fruity flavour, go for Mango Strawberry Ice ($6.50). With the bubble tea waves in Singapore heating up, Milk Tea Ice ($5.50) may be a great choice too.

Diner could turn to the traditional desserts such as Almond Black Glutinous Rice ($4) and the gingerly Glutinous Rice Ball in Ginger Soup ($3.50). They are extremely well-known for the Almond, Walnut, Sesame and Peanut Paste.

If you are looking for some snack, I would highly recommend the delicious savoury Pumpkin Cake ($3). For those who loves variety, the 3 colour cake ($3) include the former and Yam Cake and Carrot Cake is certainly the right choice. Lastly, not forgetting the refreshing Mango Roll ($3.50); coconut jelly rolled with fresh mango fruit.
