Presenting Crystal Jade Palace brand new menu and look after 3 months of renovation. The design of the new interior is a contrast of the previous design. From dark vibes to light and subtle scheme.
For the first time, Crystal Jade worked with a local artist in creating the featured wall at the main dinning hall and throughout the restaurant, will sight the creations.
Crystal Jade Palace Brand New Menu
With new interior and revamping the kitchen, Crystal Jade Palace launched a brand new menu at the same time.
Steamed XO scallop dumpling wrapped in ‘marbled’ skin ($8.80 for 3 pcs)
Whet your appetite with Garden salad with crab meat, pomelo & sakura ebi ($14.80), served on lettuce cup. Typical Thai-style flavour of intense flavour.
Next is a dish that will be loved by the young ones, Deep-fried chive stem pancake ($14.80). Even though there are greens, since it is deep-fried, I pretty sure, most wouldn’t mind them.
I would highly recommend this subsequent dish, Roasted Irish duck with black truffle that comes in regular portion ($26), half ($48) and whole ($95). With a perfect ration of fats to meat, this succulent dish is populated with alluring truffle scent. I am completely won over by this dish.
Equally amazing is the Roasted honey BBQ Iberico pork ($30 for regular portion); lightly sweet among the savoury pork.
For Soup lover, don’t miss out on the Double-boiled Chicken Soup with Peruvian Ginseng ($26 per person). The earthy maca root together with the chicken and seafood flavour emitted a subtle sweetish and woody fragrant, extremely palatable.
Meat & Seafood
If you enjoy beef, order the tender Sauteed Beef Cubes with Shishito Peppers in Black Pepper Sauce ($36 for regular portion) with some fats that melt in the mouth. Don’t forget to eat it with the deep-fried garlic and shistio peppers.
Another excellent choice is the Braised sea cucumber with Grandma’s braised pork belly ($36). The aroma of the sauce with the thick layer of fats and sea cucumber is such a joy to devour.
Individual portion of Poached seasonal vegetable with fresh beancurd skin and gingko nuts in superior broth ($26) is a subtle but yet tasty
I first tried the orzo pasta fried rice at Crystal Jade Jiang Nan and I love it. The Fried crispy rice and orzo pasta with prawn and shrimp ($26) was even more impressive. I love how the different texture of crispy fried rice and the silky pasta combination and the flavour of spiciness and seafood mingled together on the palate.
We tried 2 remarkable local desserts. First is the Bo Bo Cha Cha. Lightly saccharine with vivid coconut aroma.
For the ‘sweeter’ tooth, Chendol with coconut ice cream ($12.80) is a good choice, especially if you love gula melaka, don’t miss this.
