You may have seen or tasted the lovely Kele Roll Cakes at various pop-up event. If you love them, you will be delighted to know that Kele Roll Cake now landed at a Kiosk in VivoCity Basement Two (opposite Koi), same floor as London Fat Duck.

 

Kele started out as a traditional bakery and confectionery in 1983, famous for their cakes and pastries, especially pineapple tarts voted as the best in a Singapore competition in 2013. One other popular product of theirs is the Durian Moon Cake available only once a year. Being in a confectionery business, they are passionate about offering their customers “quality cakes and pastries made from quality ingredients”. With overwhelming demand for their delectable creations, they grounded their presence in Singapore with a new retail store!

Each Kele roll is made from freshly sourced ingredients such as premium Japanese flour, fresh fruits and fresh cream. Melt in your mouth fillings wrapped in soft spongy cake, best served chilled. Hence, totally value for money. What more can we ask for?

 

Alongside their store opening, they have launched more flavors to add more excitement to the Japanese brand, which includes but not limited to; Exotic Avocado Macadamia Nut (S$ 12.90), Summery Piña Colada (S$ 12.90), and Romantic Rose Cream Cheese (S$ 12.90)! We adore the rose fragrance; scented yet subtle.

NAHMJ Verdict

 

After savouring so many Kele Roll Cake, I would highly recommend 2 flavors; Mao Sang Wang due to its rich aroma and Piña Colada with its refreshing mix of pineapples with rum.
