Go Local Buffet at Four Points Eatery features the highlights from the Streets of Singapore from now till 30 Sep 2018 at the Four Points By Sheraton Singapore Riverview. This is the only hotel offers exclusive Craft Beer, Tall Tale Pale Ale. Now that it comes in bottle, making consumption and take away with ease.
Four Points Eatery is located on the ground of Four Points By Sheraton Singapore Riverview. As you enter the hotel, walk diagonally towards your left.
Grilled Prawn
First and foremost, each guest of the Go Local Buffet will get one Grilled Prawn. The large grilled prawn was topped with lots of spring onion.
Soup
Next, you might want to warm your stomach with Hot Soup. There are 2 soups. First is a clear Chinese Soup, Duck with Preserved Vegetable, pretty tasty though I prefer it to be stronger and more sourish.
Next is the Clam Chowder Soup which we skipped.
Local Delights – Starters
Beside the usual Rojak that is offered by many hotel buffet, such as Copthorne’s King and Parkroyal On Beach Road, I was surprised to spot the Cuttlefish Kang Kong at Four Points Eatery which I find it tasted better.
More starters such as a variety of salads are also available.
Light Snack
If you love the Goreng Pisang, this light snack is also available at the Four Points Eatery Go Local Buffet.
Mains
Time for Mains. Starting with a series of Perankan dishes, the Braised duck, Braised Egg Plant, Nonya Curry Vegetable and Steamed Fish with Assam Sauce.
Next was a handful of seafood. First is the mouthwatering Oyster Omelette.
Followed by crowd favourites, both local and tourists would love the Chilli Crab. Though the size is a bite small, it is tasty and shell is easy to crack.
Next is the tasty Mussel and Salted Egg Squid, both which I enjoyed. I am always biased over salted egg food.
BBQ Seafood and Wings are always a must when we think of local fare.
Chicken Rice is an extremely popular item in the local food scene so it makes perfect sense to serve them at Go Local Buffet.
For those who always needed some greens, there are the Stir-fried Vegetables and Tofu with Braised Meat and Preserved Vegetables.
Desserts
Coming to dessert, the Go Local Buffet at Four Points Eatery has much to offer with wide spread of both local and western fare.
My ulitmate favourite is the Durian Pengat which I couldn’t resist for a second helping.
Reliving childhood memories with a Potong. Three flavours, Cempedak, Sweet Corn and Red Bean.
Assortment of Nonya Kueh such as the Nonya Kueh Lapis, Kueh Salat, Kueh Sarlat Durian and the Kueh Ubi Kayu.
A local favourite, soft, lightly sweet Muah Chee with crushed peanuts and sugar coated the surface of each piece is a delight.
For local favourite cake, go for the Pandan Cake. Alternatively, Chocolate Mousse Cake, Orange Roll Cake, Butter Cake and more are also available.
More local desserts to choose from with selection of DIY Ice Kacang.
Or maybe some hot local dessert, with Red Bean Soup and Sweet Potato Soup.
Fruits
4 fruits were available at a corner; Pineapple, Watermelon, Honey Dew and Longan.
Coffee & Tea
Lastly, round up the meal with some coffee or tea.
