In the recent months, number of new cafe is dwindling and what worst is there is hardly much worthy cafe with either notable food or instagram-worthy interior. The last one which fit either criteria was Bearded Bella at Craig Road which we visited in March. In April, we paid a visit to Twenty Eight Cafe at Wilkie Road and thought this could be featured as the cafe for April though it is in May that we published.
Yet another cafe with white-washed walls, cemented floor and draping naked light bulbs resulting in an industrial themewhich is a popular choice with cafe. I noticed lots of power supply plug surrounded the cafe and there is free wifi making it a good cafe for working.
Twenty Eight Cafe serves some All Day Breakfast items such as Baked Avocado ($19.90) which I tried. I am certainly bias against this item as on it are all my favourite ingredients, Avocado, Egg and Brioche, except Bacon. If I could swap it for Smoked Salmon, it would be my perfect breakfast. Before ordering, I was worrid that after baking the avocado would be dehydrated, glad that it didn’t.
A handful of Breakfast items that are available till 12pm. One of which is the gorgeous-looking Berrilicious Pancake ($15.90). Pillowy soft pancake with berry conserve, honey greek yoghurt and grated coconut. I didn’t see any maple syrup on the pancake though.
Other category includes Snacks (Itchy Fingers), Pasta, Sandwich, Salad and Burgers. The cafe also offers some pastries and cakes.
I never failed to get a Cappuccino ($5.90) at any cafe. Low acidity with almost full bodied cuppa filled with nutty flavour.
For desserts, inspired from the Spanish churros, Twenty Eight Cafe served Indian Churros ($4.90). Twirl of Indian Roti Prata fried to perfection and dusted with generous amount of Cinnamon Sugar was an indulgent.

NAHMJ Verdict
Twenty Eight Cafe may be a new kid on the block but they implemented lots of right elements that will result in a successful cafe business. Food prices are affordable at the quality and quantity offered.
