Le Relais de l’Entrecôte, A Typical French Restaurant Serving Free-Flow Of Steak And Fries – Paris, France

Le Relais de l’Entrecôte, a restaurant off the fame shopping street, Avenue des Champs-Elysee.

This restaurant doesn’t have a menu per se as they serve only salad for starter, Steak Frites (Fries) for Main. These 2 items are free-flow. The menu is for dessert and beverages.

When we reached the restaurant at about 1pm, it was full and we were first in the queue. However, after our lunch, at about 2pm, the queue was long. As many as 10 persons were in the line.

It is like any typical French restaurant whereby the tables are as closely placed to each other as possible leaving an extremely small gap, even the thinnest person cannot walked by it. So the service crew has to pull the table and then after the guests sat on the inner side, they will push it back.

When seated, they don’t take your order immediately hence it is best to catch them before they leave you. Most will get a glass of their house red wine. I had a sip and I thought it was of a decent grade. A full body with deep berry flavour. My dinning partner who ordered this enjoyed.

Next, we placed our order for the steak doneness. Both of us chose Medium. Right after, the Salad with mainly lettuce and a couple of Beetroot slices dressed with mustard sauce was served together with baguette. I love it though my dinning partner find it too sour.

Steak was on abundant tasty beef au jus. The Medium steak was too tough for my jaw which I regretted. I think Medium Rare is a better choice. We felt the steak was not the high quality sort. This is a restaurant or quantity and not quality though. Fries was delicious which I am willing to take in more calories.

Even before I cleared my plate, they wanted to serve me more which I refused it. I went for more fries though.

Le Relais de l’Entrecôte, A Typical French Restaurant Serving Free-Flow Of Steak And Fries - Profiteroles au Chocolat (€7)

Ending the meal with a chocolaty drenched  Profiteroles au Chocolat (€7). The Choux Pastry was dry. The saving grace was the chocolate sauce.

Le Relais de l’Entrecôte, A Typical French Restaurant Serving Free-Flow Of Steak And Fries - Cappuccino (€5.80) & Espresso

Accompanied our dessert with Cappuccino (€5.80) for my colleague & Espresso for myself. The Cappuccino was different to the conventional cup. This was a milk coffee with Cream. We love the flavour.
