Saucy has once strike again. In case you did not read our first Saucy mind-blowing dish, Whisky Ramen with Jimoto-Ya and Yamazaki Whisky. This round, you ought not to miss another wonderful dish. Saucy x Caffe B offers Uni Love.
A short introduction of Saucy to benefit those who do not know Saucy. They are a start-up with very talented and creative folks behind the scene collaborating with big brands to bring out-of-the-box dishes to diner. I assure you that they are extremely impressive. We tried twice and can’t help but to sing praises of them to whoever we meet.
Saucy x Caffe B
This Saucy x Caffe B collaboration may be described as a match-made in heaven brought the partners together through fate. If not for a birthday celebration at an Izakaya whereby they met Executive chef Masanao Saito who helmed the kitchen of Caffe B, located from an offshoot of Club Street, this Uni Love Set ($28) would not have been borned.
A double dose of Uni in the Uni Love (S$28). One tasting on the squid ink cracker, and the other portion in a sous vide egg with a surprise.
The combo set is completed with a cold-brew rosebud tea.
Each has its own fan. The main difference between the 2 is largely texture.
Promotion
This Saucy x Caffe B exclusive dish is made possible through this special collaboration. And it is available till 30 June. Diners who want to enjoy this special edition, must reserve their Uni Love simply by purchasing a S$3.00 ticket on Saucy platform (http://saucy.sg/products/unilove/) and pay the balance of the dish at the restaurant.
NAHMJ Verdict
We prefer the option with crispy squid ink cracker. Some may enjoy he smooth creamy texture of the sous vide egg and the surprise from the hint of lemon curd. Anyhow, we encourage all Uni Lovers to reserve their set now for this Saucy x Caffe B collaboration will not happen again.
