A bountiful Lunar New Year buffet spread (from $58++ per person) of over 40 bountiful dishes awaits from 9 February to 2 March 2018.

Firstly, we were served with a Braised Fish Maw and Crabmeat Soup which is traditionally consumed during Chinese New Year. The soup is packed with nutrients and wonderfully flavourful and delicious of fish maw and crabmeat, you will never get bored.

Fresh Sri Lanka Crabs are used in the Chili Crab with Mantou and the sauce is impactful. I was so obsessed with the crabs. I went for a few rounds just for it.

Of all dishes, it seems like the Roasted Suckling Piglet is the hit. The skin is so crispy, it is a show-stopper and a complete meal in itself.

The Bakkwa (Barbequed Sliced Chicken) is tender and not so sweet, it gives you sense of satisfaction when you bite into this homemade Barbequed sliced chicken.

Chinese New Year festivities often involve the practice of many traditions – one of which is the tossing of the yu sheng for good fortune. “Lo Hei” in Cantonese, where 捞 “lo” (literally mixing) means “tossing up good fortune, refers to the ritual adopted in Singapore of tossing the Yu Sheng and saying of auspicious phrases before eating it. It is popularly believed that the higher the toss, the better your prospects and fortune in the year ahead. I had my first lo hei of the year, and I wish all my friends年年有余, 鸿运当头, 风生水起, 步步高升!
