Feliz Navidad! That’s a Merry Christmas greeting in Spanish as Park Hotel Alexandra Spanish-inspired Yuletide Celebration is this year theme for the buffet spread at The Carvery.
Hence, expect lots of Spanish dishes from the Carvery station to Sides that complement the Meat and certainly desserts too.
Park Hotel Alexandra Spanish-inspired Yuletide Celebration
Since we were at The Carvery, roast are the stellar highlights. Must never be missed. Be sure that you devour all the available meat at the station.
Start with the looking like medium rare, succulent Grilled Australian Grain-Fed Beef (Ribeye). The beef never failed to impress.
As always the well marinated, tender Chicken is a hit with diners. This year, Park Hotel Alexandra Spanish-inspired Yuletide Celebration has prepared the Spit-roasted Chicken with Orange and Rosemary. This is also available for takeaway at $38+ or $68+ with a bottle of wine. Certainly a dish for a Christmas Party or any sort of gathering at home or office.
At every Christmas meal, ham is never missing, remember to try the Honey-Glazed Ham with Cloves and Pineapple Sauce. A slice is simply not enough.
If you want the Iberico Pork Belly Porchetta stuffed with Chorizo and Apple, you got to be at The Carvery on the weekends. Though fatty, the fats melt in the mouth.
Lastly, Spanish Suckling Pig available only on the eves and on Christmas and New Year.
Sides
A handful of sides were included for the Park Hotel Alexandra Spanish-inspired Yuletide Celebration.
First item was the Red Mullet Fish with Mojo Verde.
Have some Spanish Pancake and not forgetting the lightly tomato-flavoured Catalan Seafood Stew.
To complete the meal, for some, they would certainly welcome rice.
Other food might include White Bean Stew and Buttered Brussels Sprouts.
And even Seafood On Ice.
Dessert
Log Cake is never missing on the Christmas spread. Likewise, Park Hotel Alexandra Spanish-inspired Yuletide Celebration includes this dessert.
Highlights at Park Hotel Alexandra Spanish-inspired Yuletide Celebration are the Turron Trifle and Crema Catalana
Most would associate Churros with Spanish. These happy food is ultra crispy though I prefer one with a little doughy in the centre. For those who loves chocolate, don’t forget to drizzle some chocolate sauce
Next is a classic Christmas dish, Egg Nog. Only eaten during this particular festive season. So don’t forget to savour some. It contains some alcohol though.
If these Christmasy dessert spread is not enough, there are macarons to satisfy the sweet tooth too.
Or even the Black Forest Tart makes perfect choice.
Or maybe Fruit Custard Pastry.
