Many of you may be familiar with Aloha Poké who has 5 outlets, in Singapore serving Poké (a traditional Hawaiian raw fish salad) in CBD areas such as Bugis Junction and City Link Mall which we featured previously. In the heart of Amoy Street, their flagship Aloha Poké now switches on the neon halakahiki (Hawaiian for pineapple and symbol for Hawaii) to transform into the city’s one and only Tiki Bar.
The neon halakahiki beckons one and all with a sunny welcome for a little escape to a Hawaiian world.
From pineapple welcome drink, you can feel a sunny welcome from a Hawaiian world.
Fiery Passion – $18
On the menu, there are four signature cocktails which you can chose from, price starts from SGD18. I decided to try Fiery Passion, it is made from White Rum, Spiced Rum, Fresh Passionfruit, Lime, Lemongrass and Vanila.
Half of passionfruit is well blended into the cocktail, the other half is flamed and placed on top of the mug. The sugar put into the half passionfruit is melted and mixed with rum and the passionfruit flesh. After you off the fire, use a spoon to take out the flesh and enjoy it, taking a sip of the Fiery Passion as if you are relaxing on the beach.
Scorpion Bowl (serves 2 – 4 pax) – $55
Scorpion Bowl is perfect for getting the party spirit going, it is a hearty sharing cocktail by 2 to 4 pax.
Baked Whole Avocado – $12
A creamy avocado halved, baked and stuffed with cheese, parma ham and fish roe. The way they represent is like a traditional Nyonya Kuih Pie Tee.
Musubi – $11
It is one of the popular snacks in Hawaii, six pieces of caramelized spam sushi.
Aloha Wings – $8 (6pcs) / $15 (12pcs)
To promote the healthier lifestyle, instead of using deep-fryer, Aloha Poke uses oven to bake chicken mid-wings and toss it with Aloha signature sauce.
NAHMJ Verdict
