Previously known as Atmosphere Bistro at Alexandra Retail, ARC, has now re-branded to Jin Ho Mia. Offering 2 of their best products from 2 of their well-known brands. First is the hot pot from Soi Thai Soi Nice, the other is Rice Bowl from Atmosphere Bistro.
Interior of Jin Ho Mia is casual with modern and sleek design. The tables and chairs are closely placed to each other.
Like very hot pot restaurant, an array of sauce are available. There is chart to illustrate the ingredients.
At Jin Ho Mia, they offered a total of 3 Hot Pot. First a seafood Hot Pot named as Tok Kong Pot ($48.80). Followed by the meat one, Ah Boy Pot ($33.80). Lastly, a vegetable option, Giam Pui Pot ($28.80). There are 5 broth to choose from. Beginning with the signature broth, Jin Ho Mia Fish Broth. Next, the highly popular Tomato Broth. And the remaining are the Cheese, Chicken and Tom Yum Broth.
The Tok Kong Pot ($48.80) the most value-for-money Set. By the way, Tok Kong means superb and indeed it is. In it there are lots of seafood and most attractive is the Alaska Crab leg. Aside the seafood, you get the meat and vegetables too.
We tried the Ah Boy Pot ($33.80) with mainly meat and vegetable options. We didn’t opt for the Giam Pui since in it are solely vegetables.
To enjoy the Hot Pot, pour the broth into the pot and wait for it to boil.
We got the Tomato Broth for the Tok Kong Pot. The Tomato Broth was lightly sourish, hence pretty appetising. We think this is a kid-friendly flavour.
Since Jin Ho Mia Fish Broth is not to be missed, we have it for the Ah Boy Pot. We tried the Tom Yum too. Among the 3, I love the Tom Yum Broth.
Diners have the option to order ala-carte add-on for meats, seafood, vegetables and rice & noodles too. The Homemade Fish & Fish Roe Paste ($6) is highly recommended.
Side items are also available with Ah Ma Homemade Ngoh Hiang ($9.80) and Prawn Omelette ($9.80), both equally delicious.
NAHMJ Verdict
A pity we didn’t manage to try rice bowl at Jin Ho Mia on the day of our visit as it wasn’t available from some reason on that day. The Hot Pot offered by Jin Ho Mia is highly dependent on ones preference for the broth and ingredients.
