Kanda Wadatsumi Lunch Set
On Kanda Wadatsumi Lunch Set Menu, besides the Donburi which we tried, they offered 4 Omakase; 8-course ($120), 7-course ($88), 6-course ($60) and Sushi Course ($52) which we are keen to try on our next visit.
For the Donburi, we found 8 items on the Lunch Menu.
First is the Bara Chirashi Don ($32). One of the highly recommended Donburi on its Lunch Menu. Consisting of various assortment of sashimi in cube.
Alternatively, diner could opt for the Chirashi Don ($35), instead of cubes, luxuries slices of sashimi laced the surface. The type of fish changes daily so you are in for a surprise. On the day of our visit, there were even scallop.
I got the Wagyu Steak Donburi ($48). Though the Wagyu isn’t the extremely high grade steak with well distributed marble, it was still decent. The grill resulted in a light smokiness on the beef.
Each Donburi order comes with Salad, Vegetables, Pickle and Miso Soup.
The Miso Soup is worth a special mention as it has lots of ingredients, including generous chunk of salmon.
I counted a total of twelve side items on the Lunch Menu. The most popular side was the Chawan Mushi ($8). The egg custard was ultra smooth and tasty due to the Dashi added.
If you did not have enough of egg, order the Tamago Yaki ($6) too. This is another great option for egg lovers.
We were recommended the Vege Tempura ($5) and I opted to try. No doubt, it is certainly one of the best as the batter was not only light but thin as well. I would love it more if there were pumpkin and sweet potato on the plate.
Quote ‘KWLunch’ when dine at the restaurant for lunch, and you are entitled to a complimentary ‘Chef’s Selection Sashimi Plate’
No doubt we will recommend Kanda Wadatsumi Lunch Set to all Japanese cuisine fan.
