Alakai Poke At Everton Park Offering Original Hawaiian-style Made Fresh To Order Poke – Everton Park, Singapore

We are scouring through Singapore for Poke to satisfy our craving for this food. Now it is time to explore Alakai at Everton Park. Like Loloku Poke Bar, Alakai too offer made fresh to order Poke. They have taken over the space previously occupied by The Provision Shop.

The blue and white colours theme at Alakai transported me to the Mediterranean Shore instead of Haiwaii. Perhaps I was hypnotized by the classic poster card view of Santorini in Greece. Furniture used were simple but practical.

At every Poke deli, menu is solely devoted to one item, Poke Bowl, with its variant. Hence, it wasn’t surprisingly that Alakai is likewise. Both the standard plate and customised bowl were available. At Alakai, they recommend the former if you it is your first visit at Alakai and especially so if it is your virgin trial. The standard plate are Alakai Big Poke Plate ($24.45), Yobo Poke Plate ($13.45), Nisei Poke Plate ($14.45), Tahiti Nui Poke Plate ($15.45) and Pono Poke Salad Plate ($16.45).

From order to collection, every steps of the process is self-service. There is a vertical order station at the counter for ordering for nets or cash payment. Such ordering was tiring on my arms.

Alakai Poke At Everton Park Offering Original Hawaiian-style Made Fresh To Order Poke - Mixed Poke of Tuna and Salmon

Besides the usual Salmon and Tuna available, Tofu and Prawns in portion of 150g, 250g and 500g. There are a total of  5 sauce for the poke. Alakai Ho’ono which is the Alakai’s house mix of spice, sesame, and seaweed. Next is the Koiu Shoyu in it is a special blend soy sauce. Subsequently, is the Niu Tahitian, Tahitian-style coconut and lime dressing. Followed by the Kai Kolea consists of Korean mayo sauce. Lastly there is a rotating special.

I got the customised Salmon and Tuna mix in Alakai Ho’ono dressing with mixed rice (a scoop of white rice and a scoop of brown rice) while topping were lotus roots, kimchi cucumber and I definitely need the pineapple since I find Poke Bowl incomplete without them.

Alakai Poke At Everton Park Offering Original Hawaiian-style Made Fresh To Order Poke - Passionfruit Pudding

The only available dessert on the menu was the Passionfruit Pudding. The texture of the pudding wasn’t fantastic but it was the syrup on the top that was absolute a pleasure to the tastebud. In it was mainly passionfruit however, what differentiated it was surprisingly the unassuming orange peel.
