Central Hong Kong Cafe @ RWS Offering A Slice Of Cha Chaang Teng With Mouthwatering Delights – Resort World Sentosa, Singapore

Resort World Sentosa (RWS) has no lack of option, ranging from Michelin Star restaurant, Joël Robuchon and Osia Steak & Seafood Grill to Hard Rock and even fast food restaurant such as Texas Chicken. For Chinese Food and yet casual dining, an accessible option is the Central Hong Kong Cafe @ RWS; whipping mouthwatering Hong Kong Cha Chaang Teng Delights to entice diners’ tastebud.

Despite being casual, it is a full table-service restaurant. The tables and seats will likely reminds diners of their experience in the classic Cha Chaang Teng in Hong Kong.

Central Hong Kong Cafe @ RWS Offering A Slice Of Cha Chaang Teng With Mouthwatering Delights - Lettuce with Fermented Beancurd

Fermented Beancurd is a typical ingredient used to flavour-up its vegetables in Hong Kong. Hence it is no surprise to spot the Lettuce with Fermented Beancurd on its menu. We find the sauce too diluted hence the lettuce tasted very much in its natural sweetness.

Central Hong Kong Cafe @ RWS Offering A Slice Of Cha Chaang Teng With Mouthwatering Delights - Chicken Chop Baked Rice

My comfort food at Central Hong Kong Cafe is the Chicken Chop Baked Rice. This is the dish I order 99% time when I dine here. The tasty and crispy chicken chop plus another of my favourite ingredient, cheese is an outstanding combination. Though I do lament about the tomato sauce. However, I am willing to eat this tomato-based dish.

When I saw the Sliced Fish Hor Fun on the menu, I thought of Cze Char stall. In this dish besides sliced fish, ample beansprout were added. I was glad that neither the ingredients were over-cooked.

Rounding up the meal with a Red Bean Ice. Certainly, not my kind of dessert as I don’t enjoy red bean but my dining partner love it. The finely shaved ice, of course I am not comparing it with Bingsu. Despite the generous amount of red bean drizzled over the ice, it wasn’t saccharine.

Central Hong Kong Cafe @ RWS Offering A Slice Of Cha Chaang Teng With Mouthwatering Delights - Hot Coffee and Tea

When our Hot Coffee and Tea were served in those Black & White brand with Cow cup, I begin to reminisced my trips to Hong Kong. These drinks were commonly seen in the Cha Chaang Teng in Hong Kong. However, the brewed Milk Tea at Central Hong Kong Cafe was no where near the standard served in Hong Kong.

Lastly, food was overall decent, but what disappoint us most was the attitude and service provided by a particular service crew. In general, we termed it rude.

NAHMJ Verdict

Food served at Central Hong Kong Cafe @ RWS was decent apart from the service. And the consolation was it was only this particular service crew that ruin the experience. Otherwise, it would have been a better.
