When I first heard about Pizzaboy, I was thinking, who needs another Pizza outlet. Don’t we have enough. How different could pizza be? Isn’t it all about the crust, sauce and most importantly cheese.
Nevertheless, I still check them out. Instead of asking for a delivery which usual most would do with pizza, I head over to their shop to have it freshly made. It is conveniently located under 10 minutes of walk from Eunos MRT.
Their main sales channel is delivery. They are on Deliveroo, Uber Eats and I think Honestbee as well. If you are like me who prefer to head down to their shop, there are 3 tables with total of 6 chairs for dining-in, in Al Fresco style. In addition, a very important point to note, they are Halal. Pizzaboy has a Muslim Chef and assistance making the pizza.
What made Pizzaboy stands out from the competition is the price!! It is as much as half price lesser than the big boys. Some may asked what about the taste? Read on.
Pizza
At Pizzaboy, they offer both Ala Carte and Set Menu. There are 2 series of Pizza with only one pan pizza for now. First, the Super Pizza with sizes in Small (6″), Regular (10″) andd Large (12″). Second is the Power Pizza only available in Regular and Large.
Super Pizza
There are 9 flavours with 3 sizes to choose from; Small ($4.50), Regualr ($10.90) and Large ($12.90). With popular flavours such as Ultimate Cheesy Garlic Chicken. This is highly recommended by Pizzaboy. I find this personal filled with pleasant garlicky flavour. It wasn’t too overwhelming for me who aren’t garlic fan.
My ultimate favourite among the Super Pizzas is the Mighty Meaty. I am generally a meaty Pizza lover. I am not a fan of seafood pizza. This pizza with only meat finds favour with me.
Vegetarian fret not too. Dr Vegan and Mr Green is created specially for this special group of diners to enjoy Pizza from Pizzaboy too. As I need my meat on my pizza, I skipped this completely.
Other flavours include the Super Cheese Deluxe (another vegetarian pizza), Pepperoni Cape, PB Margherita, Blazing BBQ and Mariener’s Choice which we didn’t try this round.
Power Pizza
Power Pizza (PB) comes in 2 sizes; Regular ($12.90) and Large ($15.90). The highly recommended flavour was the PB Pizza Rendang. If I wasn’t told that this is Rendang flavour, I would assume it as chicken pizza. In other word, the Rendang flavour wasn’t prominent.
Cheese lovers take note. Topped with balls of cream cheese on the cheesy crust of the PB Power Balls is certainly not to be missed.
The third choice at this category is the PB Sambal, a spicy pizza, with either chicken or prawn.
Wraps & Quesadillas
For those who find pizza too much carbohydrates could opt for Wraps and Quesadillas. The PB Wrap ($6.50) is filled with chicken and vegetables. With vegetarian option of vegetable only or with cheesy mushroom.
For those who prefer cheese could opt for the Quesadillas. It is loaded with both Mozzarella and Cream cheese for the Cheesy & Creamy version. Alternatively, diners could opt for the Chicken and Veggie.
Sidekicks
Having Pizza with no sides is no way for me. Fortunately, on Pizzaboy menu, there were 6 items for sides.
First is the crowd-pleaser, Buffalo Wings ($3.80-2pcs / $7.80-5pcs) in either Spicy or BBQ flavour. Mind you, the spicy version is fiery hot. Though I am not a BBQ fan, I like Pizzaboy rendition which wasn’t too sweet and it has a distinct smokiness.
Cheesy Mac ($3.50) is another popular item on Pizzaboy Menu. Indeed it lived up to its name, we exclaimed “Cheesy” at our first mouth. In this version, there was a slight sweetness with some spice savoured.
Other sides offered are Onion Rings ($4.80), Chicken Nuggets ($4.50), Potato Wedges ($4) and Cheesy Fries ($3.80)
NAHMJ Verdict
At such a wallet friendly price and taste quality, I would go for Pizzaboy. If you are staying around them, within walking distance, delivery is free.
