On 10th March 2017, Mr. Eduardo Cosentino, Global Corporate Sales EVP & CEO of Cosentino North America represented Cosentino to officially launch their latest innovative technological development, Silestone® N-Boost at the Cosentino City Centre. The first two colours created with Silestone® N-Boost are Iconic Black and Iconic White. These are also new colours of the Silestone® range.
The Cosentino Group
Cosentino Group is a Spanish family-owned surfaces firm. A global leader in the production and distribution of technologically advanced surfaces for architecture and design, it currently distributes its products to more than 80 countries. Some notable brands by Cosentino include Silestone®, Dekton® and Sensa by Cosentino®, each one renowned in their own sector.
Cosentino’s first showroom in Singapore, the Cosentino City Centre, is located at 34 Duxton Road. This showroom includes an open kitchen area and a living room space featuring Cosentino’s products and samples. For more than two years, it has served as a place of inspiration for many architects and designers. At the same time, it also functioned as an experiential area for prospective customers to see, feel and touch Cosentino’s innovative surfaces. Come July 2017, Cosentino will open a new 35,000sqft office and showroom facility at 22 Gul Avenue to cater to its expanding team serving the growing Southeast Asia market.
Patented by Cosentino, Silestone® N-Boost is a revolutionary process developed for Silestone® surfaces (natural quartz surfaces that are ideal for indoor use). N-Boost is a nanotechnology-based treatment process that modifies the surface of a material at a molecular level, thereby enhancing the material’s technical and aesthetic properties. As a result, Silestone® surfaces treated with N-Boost will have greater colour intensity, higher brightness and an extraordinary level of stain resistance. In other words, N-Boost will significantly enhance the beauty and quality of Silestone® surfaces. Cleaning and maintenance of Silestone® surfaces will also become easier. In addition, Silestone® surfaces will retain their existing high tolerance to impact and scratching, at the same time remain safe for contact with all types of food, making them perfect for kitchen counter-tops.
To demonstrate this point, Cosentino invited Chef Andre from Restaurant André (Dekton® brand ambassador for Cosentino) to whip up a special dessert on Cosentino’s Silestone® kitchen counter-top. For the foodie in me, I was thrilled to be able to meet Chef Andre in person and to watch him in action!
Since we are talking about Chef Andre, allow me to sidetrack. Even though I have yet to visit Restaurant André, after tasting the exquisite homemade snickers that Chef Andre made, I could immediately understand why Restaurant André is named among the top (No. 2 to be exact) in Asia’s Best 50 Restaurants 2017. This simple looking dessert is probably one of the world’s best tasting snickers.
Silestone® N-Boost Features Two New Colours: Iconic Black and White
For a start, Silestone® N-Boost will feature two new colours: Iconic White and Iconic Black.
Progressively, Cosentino will apply N-Boost treatment process to the complete range of thicknesses and colours for Silestone®.
Shown above is Cosentino’s Singapore General Manager, Mr. Koh MingLi, posing with Silestone® N-Boost Iconic Black. Iconic Black is a deep and intense shade of black that has beautiful light reflective properties. This is a timeless and versatile colour that promises to add distinction to any indoor space.
Shown above is me posing in front of Silestone® N-Boost Iconic White. Iconic White is the brightest and lightest white currently available for quartz surfaces. It is said to surpass even Blanco Zeus, the best-selling colour for the Silestone® range.
To personally experience Silestone® N-Boost’s Iconic Black and White natural quartz surfaces, visit Cosentino City Singapore at Duxton Road.
