Residents in Yishun are a lucky bunch since most will know about this treasure we recently uncovered a hidden gem within Junction Nine. I believe not many know about this unassuming shopping mall if you are not staying in this area. The mall is about 10 minutes of walk from the bus terminal. What we discovered was a Japanese Restaurant, Sushi Mentai.

I heard from a friend that they are an extremely popular brand in Malaysia. Queues always existed at all outlets. With that note, it aroused my curiousity to find out why is that so. The short answer to the question is that they are cheap and good. Read on to find out more.

The name Mentai from their name was derived from Mentaiko sauce. One other fact about Sushi Mentai is that they do not take reservation as such all seats are on first come first serve.
