Offerings of O’ Coffee Club Xpress

Mains

If you look through the ‘Mains’ menu of O’ Coffee Club Xpress, you will see the appearance of many superfoods like beetroot, pumpkin, purple sweet potato and salmon. Like me, do you correlate healthy and nutritious foods with tasteless and unappetizing? Yes? Don’t worry. At one point, I was worried about the taste but I left convinced that healthful foods can be delicious too.

O’Coffee Club Xpress @ Raffles Xchange, O’Coffee Club Launches ‘Grab & Go’ Concept – Chicken Tikka Wrap

Among those I have tried, my favourites are the Chicken Pesto Salad (S$8.90 Nett), Purple Sweet Potato & Egg Sandwich on Wholemeal Bread (S$2.90 Nett) and the Chicken Tikka Wrap (S$5.90 Nett). The chicken pesto salad and purple sweet potato & egg sandwich are light and tasty meals while the chicken tikka wrap is more filling.

O’Coffee Club Xpress @ Raffles Xchange, O’Coffee Club Launches ‘Grab & Go’ Concept – Salted Egg Chicken Ciabatta/French Loaf

The Salted Egg Chicken on Ciabatta/French Loaf (S$8.90 Nett) is not bad with a nice enough salted egg sauce. For sure, this is not the best salted egg sandwich I have encountered but if you are craving for salted egg chicken yet feeling conscious of the calories, this version is worth a try.

O’Coffee Club Xpress @ Raffles Xchange, O’Coffee Club Launches ‘Grab & Go’ Concept – Wholesome Pumpkin Sandwich

The Beetroot & Mozzarella Salad (S$7.90 Nett) and Wholesome Pumpkin Sandwich on Wholemeal Bread (S$1.90 Nett) are really too wholesome for my liking. Plus, I am really not a fan of pumpkin.

O’Coffee Club Xpress @ Raffles Xchange, O’Coffee Club Launches ‘Grab & Go’ Concept – Salmon Garlic Cream Pasta (Pasta of the Day)

O’Coffee Club Xpress @ Raffles Xchange, O’Coffee Club Launches ‘Grab & Go’ Concept – Salmon Garlic Cream Pasta (Pasta of the Day)

On the day I visited, the Pasta of The Day (S$9.90 Nett) was Salmon Garlic Cream Pasta. I am normally not a cream pasta kind of person, preferring tomato sauce pasta or Aglio Olio. But because this cream sauce is not too heavy, I actually enjoyed it. The baked (or maybe steamed) salmon is also surprisingly good. But if you are a die-hard cream pasta fan, you are likely to find this lackluster.

Pastries

We all enjoy an occasional sweet treat after meal. Knowing this, O’Coffee Club Xpress also has in-house-baked pastries ready for us. You can choose from the Apple Turnover, Blueberry Basket, Strawberry Basket or the Flaky Sweet Potato. Expect to find buttery and flaky puffs filled with natural real fruits or vegetable.

Among these, my favourite is the Flaky Sweet Potato (S$3.90 Nett), which is filled with the superfood- purple sweet potato. Naturally sweet because of the sweet potato filling, this is a unique pastry that is not available everywhere. I won’t claim that this is healthy but at least it is probably healthier than many other desserts.

If you prefer fruity fillings, you can go for the Apple Turnover (S$2.90 Nett, shown above with the Flaky Sweet Potato Puff), Strawberry Basket (S$2.90 Nett) or Blueberry Basket (S$2.90 Nett). Made with real fruits and little sugar, these will satisfy your sweet tooth without adding too much calories onto you. The more popular one among my fellow diners is the blueberry one.

Drinks

O’Coffee Club Xpress @ Raffles Xchange, O’Coffee Club Launches ‘Grab & Go’ Concept – Organic Jeju Cold Brew

O’Coffee Club Xpress @ Raffles Xchange, O’Coffee Club Launches ‘Grab & Go’ Concept – Organic Jeju Cold Brew

Exclusively available in Singapore for the first time at O’Coffee Club Xpress, the Organic Jeju Cold Brew (S$7.90 Nett) on tap is cold brewed in Korea using only sustainably-farmed Ethiopian Gemadro coffee beans and Jeju spring water. The Jeju spring water, which is alkaline in nature, helps to balance the acidity of the coffee. Prior to being served on a tap, nitrogen bubbles are introduced to the coffee to yield a smoother and creamier body. I find this coffee light in coffee flavor and low in acidity with a smooth and creamy finish. This is recommended to be consumed on its own but I prefer it with some milk.

O’Coffee Club Xpress @ Raffles Xchange, O’Coffee Club Launches ‘Grab & Go’ Concept – Raspberry Panna Cotta

Apart from the above items, I also noted on O’Coffee Club Xpress ‘s menu some food stuff that I may return to try- Truffle Egg Mayo Sandwich (S$1.90 Nett), Smoked Salmon French Loaf (S$7.90 Nett), Smoked Duck Wrap (S$5.90 Nett), Phad Thai Salad (S$8.90 Nett) and Raspberry Panna Cotta (S$5.90 Nett)!

NAHMJ Verdict

If you want tasty and wholesome real food, O’ Coffee Club Xpress is the place to go! The best part is that everything on the menu is under S$10 Nett!
