Creamery Boutique Ice Creams At Tyrwhitt Road - Lava Cookies

Creamery Boutique Ice Creams At Tyrwhitt Road – Jalan Besar, Singapore

The space formerly occupied by Dose Cafe is now home to Creamery Boutique Ice Creams. They originated in Bangkok since 5 years ago, in case you weren’t aware of their presence. Strangely, they came to Singapore after setting up a number of shops in Malaysia.

I prefer how Creamery Boutique Ice Creams made use of the space to give the maximum number of dinning area and the cheery feel mainly due to the lemon yellow triangle of a wall.

At Creamery Boutique Ice Cream, they offer the Cookie Set, similar to Kooks Creamery. Though there are 5 Cookie Set, only 3 are with lava, Chocalot, Monster Matcha and Red Devil (red velvet cookies with cream cheese). All these lava cookies, inclusive of a scoop of ice cream, are priced at $8.90 each. Topped it up with ice cream at $3.80 for 1 scoop, $6.20 for 2 scoops and $8.90 for 3 scoops.

At Creamery Boutique Ice Creams, they offered unique combination of flavours with interesting names. Such as Counter Strikes, Piko Piko, Zombie Food and so on. Interesting flavour such as Bak Kwa and Egg.

We got the Matcha Lava Cookies with Counter Strike Ice Cream and Red Devil Lava Cookies with Banoflee Ice Cream.

Creamery Boutique Ice Creams At Tyrwhitt Road - Matcha Lava Cookies with Counter Strike Ice Cream ($12.70)

Comparing Creamery Boutique Ice Creams and Kooks Creamery, we noted quite some differences. First, Creamery Boutique chose to serve the ice cream together with the cookies while Kooks have them separated and diners could add the scoop onto the cookies whenever they are ready for a video or photography session.

Next we also noted the differ texture of the cookies. Creamery version is more doughy while Kooks has it more crunchy. Thirdly was the ice cream texture. Creamery isn’t as creamy as Kooks. Lastly, Kooks is cheaper. At $8.50, the set consists of Lava Cookies cum a scoop ice cream.

Creamery Boutique Ice Creams At Tyrwhitt Road - Lychee Ice Cream Soda ($5.50)

Beside the Lava Cookie, Creamery Boutique Ice Creams offers both coffee and tea too. And 4 iced drink, Ice Cream Shake ($6.90), Ice Cream Smoothie ($6.90), Yuzu Soda ($4.90) and we tried the Lychee Ice Cream Soda ($5.50). A lightly sweet, refreshing drink.

NAHMJ Verdict

We can’t help but to compare Creamery Boutique Ice Creams and Kooks. Overall, out of 5 diners who tried, 4 preferred Kooks while the 5th has yet to try Kooks though.
