Korean Cafe are streaming to Singapore. The first that I remember landed in Singapore was Caffe Bene. Now, Singapore welcomes Dal.komm Cafe, also commonly associated with Descendants Of The Sun Cafe. It was made famous after the Korean drama. If I am correct, the another restaurant that was famous due to the same drama was Seorae Korean Charcoal BBQ Restaurant. Anyway, Korean drama fan rejoice, perhaps it is like another theme cafe to you.
Space at Dal.komm cafe is relatively huge. Divided into 2 areas; the smaller is filled with armchairs, the large section was with mainly normal dinning furniture. Naturally, the seats at the former area was fully occupied.
Most cafe these days offer merchandise for sales, more so for the theme cafe. At Dal.komm Singapore, they offered a handful and importantly that 2 cute mascot plushies.
At Dal.komm, quite some selection of cakes were on shelves. Commonly seen cakes such as Matcha Cake was offered. We thought Earl Grey Cheesecake sounded unique. This is a non-baked cheesecake with tofu-like texture and lightly cheese and earl grey flavours. I could easily devour one by myself.
We got 2 hot and a iced drink. There were 2 types of Grapefruit drink; Grapefruit Juice ($7) which was what we ordered. The other more popular drink was the Honey Grapefruit in either hot ($8.50) or cold ($8.90). It does taste like the real grapefruit as it contains a light bitterness.
Hot Sweet Potato Latte ($7) and Citron Latte ($7) was the 2 hot drink we tried. I didn’t like the former but my 2 friends love them. The Citron Latte which was presented in the same manner as the Sweet Potato Latte was a fave among the 3 of us.
Lastly, my favourite drink at Dal.komm Cafe is the Honey Grapefruit ($8.50 – hot, $8.90 – cold). There are real pieces of grapefruit in the drink too. I tried both the hot and cold, somehow, I prefer the hot.
NAHMJ Verdict
The food and drinks offered at Dal.komm Cafe was relatively decent but overpriced.
When at Dal.komm, no reason for not taking an ootd or selfie with the mascots. We did too.
