As a tradition of Spice Brasserie at Parkroyal On Kitchener Road, the Fivefold Fortunes Set is specially created for guests during dinner buffet while diners Seafood Yusheng only.

Kick-off the celebration of Chinese New Year 2017 with Parkroyal On Kitchener Road by tossing the Seafood Yusheng for good luck, prosperity and good health. Instead of using the usual plum sauce, Executive Chef Low of Spices Brasserie chose passionfruit sauce for a change. It is as good as the plum since it gave a nice fragrance of passionfruit.

Just like last year, Spice Brasserie retains the Prosperity Pot as part of the Fivefold Fortunes Set. This is certainly a welcomed dish since in it are only luxurious ingredients such as abalone, scallop, prawns, mushroom, dried oysters and fish maw.

Another dish that existed in last year Fivefold Fortunes Set is the Braised Lobster in Superior Stock. Who doesn’t love lobster unless you are allergy from them. This dish is equally delicious.

A new dish to the set is the Golden Ingot Dumplings. It is a dish with luck and money as significant. Hoping that all guests will prosper through 2017. Personally, I find the skin a little to thick but with good chewy texture.

Lastly, the Pumpkin Puree with Almond Flakes which is also available at last year fortunes set existed too. For those who have not tried this dessert, beware, it isn’t a hot dessert but a cold one.
