Chicken Up Korean Restaurant At Tanjong Pagar – Tanjong Pagar, Singapore

If I remember correctly, Chicken Up Korean Restaurant at Tanjong Pagar is their first outlet. I have never dine-in there though did a few takeaway of their Korean Fried Chicken. This was my first attempt dinning in at a Chicken Up outlet.

Most would notice their iconic chicken feet present through the restaurant. This first was on the ground at the entrance.

Kick off with Kimchi Fries and Korean Glass Noodles.  And followed with Seafood Pajeon. None of the dishes stood out, all were decent. I wouldn’t order the Kimchi Fries at my next visit as the sauce resulted in soggy fries.

Next the Army Stew. Though most of the diners find this dish delicious, I felt it wasn’t the best. Perhaps it was due to the diluted soup. It wasn’t as strong as I would like it to be. Personally, I prefer the one served at What’s This Korean Restaurant

The finale are the Korean Fried Chicken. I still find them as good as it used to be. Didn’t find any drop in standard for both the Ganjang Soya Chicken Wings and Spicy Yangnyum Chicken, though I thought the latter got spicier than before.

Watermelon Soju is the most popular drink at Chicken Up or rather at Korean Restaurant in Singapore. We got one for sharing too.

Our finale at Chicken Up was the Melon Bingsu. Fine shaved milk ice with rich creamy vanilla ice cream on top of melon-balls which was a little too sweet for my preference.

NAHMJ Verdict

We found most food served at the Chicken Up Korean Restaurant to be average. However, we love the Korean Fried Chicken.
