It has been a while since we last visited Spicy Thai Thai. As they have quite a huge variety on its menu, we planned for a Spicy Thai Thai Cafe Revisit recently. For those who didn’t know about this Thai Cafe, it is hidden beside Aljunied Swimming Pool.
Spicy Thai Thai Cafe Revisit
We spotted quite a number of new dishes at Spicy Thai Thai Cafe revisit this round. We didn’t want to miss trying out new dishes
Thai Styled New Dishes
Kaeng Som Sea Bass 泰式辣汤汁鲈鱼 ($Seasonal Price) is one of the new Thai Styled new dish. It may look extremely spicy but it isn’t. Pretty tolerable spice level with sourish scent.
Alternate option is the Deep Fried Sea Bass with Thai Turmeric Sauce 泰式酥炸黄酱汁鲈鱼 ($Seasonal Price) that has pretty crispy exterior while interior are still tender. The overall taste was savoury with soy sauce fragrance.
Previously, we featured the Thai Styled Curry Crab which is drier while this new Thai Curry Crab 泰式咖喱螃蟹 ($Seasonal Price) has more gravy.
Thai-Chinese New Dishes
The look of the Cold Tofu with Special Thai Seafood Sauce 泰式海鲜酱汁冷豆腐 ($15) isn’t appealing to me until I took the first mouth. Love the flavourful seafood sauce that seriously elevated the taste of the plain looking commercial like tofu.
Next 3 dishes are vegetable dishes. First the Stir-Fry Broccoli with Scallops 干贝炒西兰花 ($20).
Followed by the Stir-Fry Cabbage with Thai Sweet Fish Sauce 泰式鱼卤炒包菜 ($10).
Lastly, the Stir-Fry Garlic Chilli Baby Sweet Potato Leaves 小番薯叶炒蒜蓉 ($10). All are surprisingly tasty.
For those who love rice noodle could opt for the BBQ Pork, Liver & Meatballs Noodles 泰式面 ($6). We enjoyed the BBQ Pork on this dish.
Signature Dishes
Previously, we have tried a number of their Signature Dishes such as Hommok (Thai Otak) $18, Cha Om (Thai Dill Omelette) $10 and we never missed out the Lala (Clams) Bee Hoon ($18).
At this Spicy Thai Thai Cafe Revisit, we ordered 2 dishes from the Signature Dishes which we have not tried in our first visit. First we have the lightly sourish Papaya Salad ($8). A great appetiser dish as always.
Deep Fried Pork Belly with Garlic ($15) is also a great option. It was tasty, perhaps complementing the dish with a sourish chilli sauce will increase the savouring experience.
Dessert
Two of our favourite dessert at Spicy Thai Thai Cafe are the Mango Glutinious Rice and Tapioca.
NAHMJ Verdict
At this Spicy Thai Thai Cafe revisit, we felt they have introduced too much vegetable dishes. And Lala Beehoon is a must at every visit.
