Exploring Adventure Cove Water Park With Casio FR200

Taking 360º photo and video seems to be the way forward and it is getting popular and trendy. Casio FR200 is one such camera. It has a detachable lens unit and monitor. Furthermore, it can control two cameras at the same time. Casio FR200 comes with a 1.35mm lens that offers a fisheye. And the best part, this camera is waterproof, shockproof to 1.3m, freeze-proof up to -10ºC as such under water photos is best taken with this camera.

Since the camera is detachable, the lens could be mounted on various accessories such as the tripod and selfie-stick. And it is interesting to note that the control isn’t from the smartphone. Perhaps having this as an option maybe welcomed too.

There are 4 modes, first is the super wide angle mode. Therefore the photo could capture more details that are on the side into a single photo.

Followed by the Dome View. This is possible due to the built-in Dome View lens with a 185° angle of view.

As it is waterproof, one could submerge the camera under water while snorkelling and take wonderful photos of the water life.

Next is the Panorama, a 360º view in a single photo.

Lastly, is the Full 360º function which bring us to the Multi Camera mode. Control 2 camera with a controller, by using two FR200s in Full 360° mode. Use the EXILIM ALBUM smartphone app to view your the images from multiple viewpoints. Alternatively, combine an FR200 with an FR100. I didn’t manage to try these out but it is certainly going to be fun.

The various mode is controlled via the touch screen. Somehow, it isn’t sensitive when in water and when my hands are wet.

NAHMJ Verdict

I thought the Casio FR200 camera is a great innovation by Casio since it is waterproof. A great camera to bring along especially to trips where there is water adventure.
