One will find an ice cream parlour easily at any corner of Singapore. More and more ice cream cafe are opening and I don’t remember any that close down in a short period of time. There is now one more Apiary Ice Cream Cafe along Neil Road.
Design at Apiary Ice Cream Cafe is with modern looking interior that are clean and sleek. The most attractive part of the cafe was the translucent ceiling glass panel that allow filtered nature light into the cafe.
At Apiary Ice Cream Cafe, they have strategically place the ice cream display counter at an angle to the main door. And this feature does attraction attention.
There were 20 flavours on display. Glancing through are all the earthly colour tones of green, brown and cream. There weren’t any exotic flavours. At the very least, there were flavours that I would usually turned to and were pretty outstanding. Such as Pistachio, Coconut, Ferror Rocher and Thai Milk Tea. Earl Grey Lavender and Thai Green Tea were also available. OMG! All my fave flavours. Single scoop at $3.80, double scoop at $7.20 and triple scoop at $10. Premium flavours at supplement of $0.70. And they charge an additional $1 for cone.
Like all ice cream cafe, besides the main highlight, ice cream in dozen of flavours, waffle are so available. Offered in either Palin ($4.50) or Charcoal ($5.50).
Coffee served at Apiary Ice Cream Cafe is using 2 Degree North beans named as The Apiary Blend. Consisiting of 70% Brazil Fazenda Rodomunho, Naturals and 30% El Salvador, El Borbollon, fully washed. Other drinks include chocolate and tea.
I went for the Charcoal Waffle and double scoop of ice cream with Pistachio and Ferror Rocher. The waffle has a good crisp and fluffiness. The entire plating is pretty.
NAHMJ Verdict
Generally, the flavours are light and isn’t too sweet. But A pity they didn’t have any unusual flavours. After all, I thought well of them.
