Geometry Ice Cream Parlour is located at Jalan Bukit Merah. The stretch closer to Ikea in case you aren’t familiar with the area. Most must have re-kindle the days during Maths lesson.
The cafe is decked in simple furnishing with mainly wood material. Greens were added to provide a contrast. The seating capacity is around 20.
Geometry will churn out 18 flavours daily. There is interesting flavour such as Earl Grey Tie Guan Yin and a bubble gum like flavour. Some hot favourites like the Alfonso Mango, Pistachio. And some common seen flavours available too for the less adventurous.
Single scoop is priced at $3.20 which I thought it was reasonable pricing. Double Scoop at $5.20 with subsequent scoop at $2.50. Additional $0.70 for premium flavour. There is a Take Away option in 650ml pint, Standard flavour at $13 while Premium flavour is at $17.
Geometry did not provide only the usual Belgian Waffle with single scoop of ice cream ($8.50). Instead it has a uniquely created item which is only found in Geometry so far but nowhere else is the Handcrafted Tart also comes with a single scoop of ice cream ($9.90). If one prefer, could opt for the Brute Brownie with single scoop ($8.90) too.
I tried a few flavours and finally decided on the Earl Grey Tie Guan Yin and the Pistachio on Handcrafted Tart ($13.80). The creation came with a salted caramel floss. Both the flavours were intense but yet lightly creamy.
The Earl Grey Tie Guan Yin stood out. I tried Tie Guan Ying previously at Hong Kong but I thought it was creatively to pair it with Earl Grey. The combination was refreshing. The tart seems like an Almond Tart. I felt almost any flavours would go well with the tart.
Like most cafe, the espresso based coffee is offered. And since it is an ice parlour, Affogato ($5.50) is not missing on the menu. Geometry is using The Clipper Tea ($3.50) with a cold brew of the day ($4). It is unusual to spot Chocolate Soup and Chocolate Mint ($5 hot/$5.50 iced) on the menu. And rarely the 7 spice Chai ($5.50) is offered at this ice cream parlour.
NAHMJ Verdict
The ice cream is not lightly creamy with intense flavour. I like the idea of having ice cream with a tart.
