After a few meals of traditional Indonesian cuisine, we decided it was time for a change. Hence, we went to the La Hoya Comida Mexicana At Gandaria City for some mexican food.

At La Hoya Comida Mexicana At Gandaria City, on its menu was some typical Mexican offerings though there were a few which I have never come across. Over here, they offered a range of appetiser, soup, salad, popular Mexican dishes such as burritos, tacos, tostada, fajitas. Other includes sandwiches, pasta & rice. And finally desserts.
We started our meal with a drink Carribean Mango (Rp 48,000) and Cranberry Juice (Rp 35,000).
Quesadilla is my fave Mexican dish. I was flipping through the thick menu for this but didn’t find it at the popular Mexican dishes. Either pure cheese or with chicken is available. We opted for the Chicken Quesadilla (Rp 85,000). Cheese was richly sandwiched in between the 2 thin tortilla wrap, filled with abundant of cheese and chicken and peppers. I like it.
We ordered the Appetizer Platter (Rp 98,000) as well since it has a good variety and great for sharing. There are 4 deep fried items on it. The Jalapeno poppers with melted mozzarela, BBQ chicken wings, onion rings and the fried aromatic risotto ball. All the 4 items were above average. My personal favourite among the 4 is the Jalapeno poppers.
After having so much fried stuff, having some greens would be a good option. We ordered the La Hoya Seafood Salad (Rp 76,000). It consists of mixed green, avocado, marinated seafood and the salad sauce is a homemade cocktail sauce. The taste of the salad dressing is unique. It is a combination of sweet and spicy.
Churros (Rp 43,000) is also on the menu of La Hoya Comida Mexicana At Gandaria City! Immediately, I thought of the Spanish Churros. I didn’t find the Mexican Churros differ from the Spanish version.
We ended our meal with Bintang Beer.
NAHMJ Verdict
La Hoya Comida Mexicana At Gandaria City is a great place to chillax with friends; enjoying a glass of cocktails, beer or even fruit juices with some sharing plate and Mexican popular dishes.
