My Art Space Cafe - Overview from Istana Park

My Art Space, A Therapeutic Afternoon With Arts – Istana Park, Singapore

My Art Space securely contained in a glass house at Istana Park, surrounded by lushy greens and with a water pond by the side, certainly looks lovely and great for a leisure afternoon either having tea or enjoying a session of art jamming.

Precisely it was a glass house so expect to be hot when the sun is bright and shining.

My Art Space Cafe - Guidance Art Class

My Art Space as per the name is relating to the Arts. There are Arts session with guidance or for a therapeutic Art Jamming session. By a small space, a cafe with some decent food was offered too.

On the day of our Art Jamming session, I decided to have lunch at the cafe, unfortunately, only snacks were available. As such I made do.

My Art Space Cafe - Menu

I ordered a Churros with Chocolate Dip. It was fantastic especially when these days one could get pretty decent churros over the kiosk at major shopping mall easily.

The churros has a nice star-shaped at cross section. Nice.

My Art Space Cafe - Cappuccino

A blessing in disguise, the cuppa was relatively decent with low acidity, full body and dominated by nutty flavour note.

My Art Space Cafe - Art Jamming Space

The space for Art Jamming wasn’t conducive when in full capacity as it was rather cram. The placing was rather random as it seems they were trying to put as many participants as possible within the space.

My Art Space Cafe - Touching Up

Basic materials were provided with 1 canvas (16 x 20″), unlimited Acrylic paints and brushes, tools and so on. If you need fine brushes that could draw hair lines details, you need to bring along one yourself. At My Art Space, they provide sample pictures for your painting. Alternatively, you could bring your sample instead.

Our experience tells us that bringing a hair dryer is handy too. Since the Acrylic paints don’t try easily.

My Art Space Cafe - My Art Piece

Me with my final art piece shown above. My inspiration was drawn from 2 of my photos taken in Dubai.

Once you are done with your painting, the staff will help you to pack your Art piece into a carrier.

NAHMJ Verdict

My sister and I enjoyed the session at My Art Space. It was our first Acrylic Art Piece. We thought it was a therapeutic afternoon with lots of fun.

We thought it was a good way to try it out and if one is keen, one could sign up for the Art session with guidance eventually.
