ARC Coffee - Bar Counter Seats

ARC Coffee – Sultan Gate, Kampong Glam, Singapore

ARC Coffee has a multi-purpose objective. It is an academy, roastery cum cafe. Located in a cafe dense area, at Sultan Gate, next to Agrobazzar Malaysia, it certainly require some differentiation factor to stand out from the rest.

I turned into Sultan Gate from Beach Road and I saw a lovely Mural Wall Art. I couldn’t help but took quite a number of shots, to find that perfect one.

ARC Coffee - Interior

Interior was pretty cool and hipster style. With some industrial looking theme. As it uses many wooden material, it gave a softer feel.

ARC Coffee - ARC Coffee Menu

Since the name of the place is mainly about coffee, half a page of menu is devoted to its craft. Other non-coffee beverages are juice, soda, chocolate and vanilla drinks.

The food served at ARC Coffee isn’t the most interesting fare. There are salad such as The Waldorf, Caesar and Ray’s Ben (perhaps this is the most unique among the 3). I skipped the sides and the salad and dive straight to the mains. Among the choices were Salmon (an inspiration drew from the Nordic travel), Pork and Seafood Pasta and Risotto.

ARC Coffee - Seafood Risotto

My choice was the Seafood Risotto ($23.80). A rich and creamy bowl of rice. It was with mussels (a little dry), squid (dominated the seafood) and prawns.

It is a shame that ARC Coffee doesn’t offer much desserts, except a few cakes which didn’t look inviting.

ARC Coffee - Cappuccino

Cappuccino ($5) was my choice cuppa. A full body, low acidity. Nutty note while hot and berry undertone while cold.

NAHMJ Verdict

NAHMJ enjoyed the rich and creamy risotto and the way the coffee is.
