The Da Bang Cafe - Bar Counter, another view

The Da Bang Cafe By Chicken Up – Tanjong Pagar, Singapore

Chicken Up has come up with a new concept, The Da Bang Cafe, serving all day brunch by day and dinner in the evening till late. Also along Tanjong Pagar Road, it is located next door to Chicken Up.

The Da Bang Cafe - Facade

The cafe is chic and rustic and you will spot lots of “recycled” material such as the tyre, beer crate, petroleum drum. The ambience is more suited for bar. Since it was pretty dimly lit. The consolation was there was glass panel on the ceiling allowing sunlight to penetrate through.

The Da Bang Cafe - Interior Seatings

There are 2 menu at The Da Bang Cafe with various Sandwiches devoted to the All Day brunch menu and Mexican dishes for Dinner such as Quesadilla, Tacos and Burritos. A few of Da Bang Brunch specialities were Nacho Cheese OmeletteKimchi Tuna PaniniBulgogi Panini

The Da Bang Cafe - Bulgogi Panini

Since we were there early in the morning, we got to turn to the Sandwiches though the Mexican dishes looks more interesting to us. We were eyeing on the Bulgogi Panini and naturally, that was our order. The Panini bread was soft with tasty fillings. The sauce enhanced the sandwich.

Besides the sandwiches, 2 other sides; Twisted Potato and Grilled Corn. A pity it wasn’t available on our visit.

The Da Bang Cafe - Cappuccino

Coffee is hardly missed out on cafe menu. It was a full body, low acidity cuppa with mainly nutty flavour note.

Some interesting drinks found on its menu were Iced Frappe (Matcha/ Chocolate/ Cereal/ Sweet Potato) and Strawberry Latte.

The Da Bang Cafe - Blueberry Milk

Interestingly, Milk were also on the menu; Blueberry, Butterscotch and Pistachio. We find the flavoured milk a little too sweet.

Since it is a Korean Cafe, the Bingsu is surely offered; Chocolate, Blueberry, Strawberry and Mango were some of the flavours.

NAHMJ Verdict

Food offered at The Da Bang Cafe though it is mainly sandwiches for Brunch, it was kinda tasty. We were certainly keen to try its Dinner dishes soon.
