After Les Patisserie moved out from its first setup location, very quickly JQ Chef Cafe took over the space for its operation. I notice that there wasn’t a single change to the cafe design, layout and etc.
Dishes offered at JQ Chef Cafe wasn’t exciting. It has the usual Brunch menu with Egg Ben and Egg Florentine. Pasta offered isn’t any surprises too. You will find the Aglio Olio, Carbonara and Bolganaise. With a few Special of the Day. On my visit, they were Braised Lamshank, Roasted Chick Thigh and Salmon.
I thought the Egg Florentine was the best choice
Interestingly the lemon tart has a three quarters of sponge cake filled, while the remaining is filled with the lemon curd on top. This resulted in a cake like lemon cake tart which is sweeter than the usual.
Beside the Lemon Tart, JQ Chef offered Tiramisu, Cheesecake, Opera, Brownie and a few others. If you prefer the waffle with ice cream, it is also on its menu. I notice its Tiramisu shared the same shape as Les Patisserie.
Coffee and Tea as usual was spotted on the menu. I sighted milkshakes too. Not sure if they are offering the over the top kind. There were about 5 flavours for milkshakes; chocolate, vanilla, banana, salted caramel and strawberry. Alternatively, the fruit smoothies is another choice.
My cuppa was kind of medium to full body with low acidity, filled with nutty flavour note.
JQ Chef Cafe doesn’t has the most exciting dishes. All it offers are standard fare at a reasonable price.
