DC Comics Super Heroes Cafe - Cafe Overview

DC Comics Super Heroes Cafe Singapore – Marina Bay Sand Shoppes, Bayfront

DC Comics Super Heroes Cafe has taken over the space previously occupied by Au Chocolat Bistro at the Marina Bay Sand Shoppes. This cafe is a super heroes theme cafe featuring some of the most renown characters such as Superman, Batman and Wonderwoman. Oh my, isn’t it cool to dine there?

Not only does it has a cafe space, but also a merchanise shop with Tees, figurines. And if you are interested to get your hands on the cutlery that were used at the cafe, you could pick up your favourite over here too.

Over at the kiosk, you don’t get to use the super cool cutlery.

Tea Break Menu

There seems to be quite a number of menu available. We spotted a menu for 2.30pm to 5.30pm with cakes and desserts on the menu.

Though cakes and freeze (ice cream) were on the menu, you need to personally go to the kiosk to buy them and bring them to the cafe. We didn’t appreciate such arrangement.

Dinner Menu

The dinner menu does not offer the cakes and freeze.

Instead it has Pastas, Entrees and Quesadilla.

On The Table

We were attracted to the Batman Dark Knight Burger ($25.90) at the DC Comics Super Heroes Cafe. Using the charcoal burger to bring out Batman colour theme was so apt.

We thought the burger bun was good. Beef patty was filled with beefy fragrance but was a little dry.

From the menu, we thought the A Mango Zonian Passionfruit Freeze (single scoop $5.90) as a drink. It turned out to be ice cream. Mainly dominated by the Passionfruit flavour. We love the high on sour note freeze.

The Joker’s Hot Caper Cappuccino ($6.90) was a decent cuppa. I was surprised to see a Superman sign instead of a Joker since the name say so.

Our Takeaway

Over at the kiosk was an array of tarts and cakes, which we bought 3 pieces home to share.

DC Comics Super Heroes Cafe - Summer Berries Tart

Summer Berries Tart a bed of berries sat on custard curd. Tangy, sweetish and sourish berries with not so sweet custard on a lightly buttery pastry.

DC Comics Super Heroes Cafe - Lemon Tart

Lemon Tart was zesty, lightly sourish lemon curd filled in a decent shortbread pastry tart.

DC Comics Super Heroes Cafe - Strawberry Shortcake

Lastly, the Strawberry Shortcake was typical with alternate vanilla whipped cream and vanilla sponge cake layer. Cream was filled with large pieces of strawberry too.

NAHMJ Verdict

Cool factor of DC Comics Super Heroes Cafe aced perfect score. As for food, certainly there is room for improvement. NAHMJ feels that the cafe is a good place to soak and immerse and be surrounded with the Superheroes’ power.
