Singapore Jubilee Weekend – Loads Of Free and Discounted Activities

Singapore is turning 50 years old this year. And because of this, our president has declared 7 Aug as an additional public holiday. Good news for all in Singapore. During 7 – 10 Aug, the long weekend is the Singapore Jubilee Weekend. Many companies are offering discount and even free activities for this grand celebration. Below are some of the consolidated activities.

Science Lessons

Where: Singapore Science Centre

What: Free entry for Singapore citizens to Singapore Science Centre. The free admission also includes entry into six other attractions at the centre: The “Human Body Experience” exhibition, the “Interplay: Where Science Meets Art” exhibition, KidsSTOP™, Snow City, The Cliff @ Snow City and the Omni-Theatre.

Aerial Display By Black Knights 


When:  7 – 9 Aug, 1200 – 1225

Where:  Above the waters off the Marina South area

What: Before the finale, the Black Knights will perform in a 25-minute aerial with 22 manoeuvres led by Lieutenant Colonel Joseph Leong. This is free.



Marina Bay Sands


When:  7 – 9 Aug

Where:  Marina Bay Sands Art Science Museum and Rise Restaurant


  • 7 – 9 Aug:  Singaporeans and Permanent residents can enjoy free admission to the ArtScience Museum, Skating Rink. Sampan rides at 50%.

Understanding Smart Nation

What:  To experience the possibilities of Smart Nation services with the use of technology and information. Each session is an hour tour where participants has opportunity for hands-on experience with various infocomm tools.

Learning about Civil Defence
