Dessert Project - Ice Cream Flavours Available

Dessert Project – Havelock Road, Bukit Ho Swee Estate (Closed)

An Ice Cream Parlour, Dessert Project, has descended at Havelock Road, in Bukit Ho Swee Estate. It is at the same block with The Tastemaker Store. Each occupying one end of Block 22.

You will be greeted with an array of ice cream flavours once you pushed open the door of Dessert Project. I estimated to be about 2 dozens. That make it about 24 flavours. The design of the cafe isn’t the most exciting one. It is another one with an industrial theme.

Dessert Project is pretty bold with its ice cream flavours. It has some of the most exotic flavours, flavours that you might not have imagine. Two of the exotic flavours that the service crew recommended me were Truffle Vanilla and Parma and Melon.

In addition to these exotic flavours, Dessert Projects is also very original with their creation. Combining the usual flavours such as Earl Grey and Thai Milk Tea to come up with Thai Earl Grey. It has 2 of my favourite ingredients. This sounded so awesome, isn’t it?

Dessert Project - Pistachio Flavour

If you are looking for some usual flavours, fret not. Dessert Project has them too. The Rocher, Strawberry, Mango, Coconut, Matcha and many more. I sampled the Mango and find the Mango aroma to be so strong. It is as good as eating the real fruits.

Oh ya, and if you are Durian fan, Dessert Project serve Durian Ice Cream too. They uses Mao Shan Durian, the Durian King, pungent and strong in aroma.

With so many wonderful, outstanding, delicious flavours, I was spoiled for choice.

Dessert Project - Waffles with Thai Earl Tea and Truffle Vanilla

Finally, I went for the Thai Earl Tea and Truffle Vanilla with Waffle.

The other highly recommended dessert at the Dessert Project is the Shibuya Toast. Equally outstanding if not more.

Dessert Project - Gula Melaka and Coconut

The thick toast was cut incompletely into 9 pieces with sinful amount of butter in the toast. On top was drenched with Gula Melaka, 2 scoop of Coconut Ice Cream and more Gula Melaka were drizzled over together with generous amount of grated coconut. Heavenly! I wish the bread could be as fluffy as the one serve at Dazzling Cafe and it would be perfect.

Verdict?

The Ice Cream at Dessert Project isn’t the creamy kind. Nonetheless, it is still good enough. What I like most about their ice cream is that flavours kind of burst or otherwise linger on your tongue. In other words, it was flavourful. All the flavours that I sample, I like them all. There isn’t one that I dislike. In short, all the flavours were exceptionally well.

As for the Waffle, it has a good scent of vanilla and egg fragrance. It was drizzled with abundant maple syrup. The waffle was fluffy, soft and moist. This isn’t the crispy kind but more of the bread-like type. But it wasn’t at all dense. I would rate the waffle as one of the best in the market.

In a nutshell, Dessert Project is an outstanding Ice Cream Parlours worth visiting.
