Antonio Portuguese Restaurant is a Michelin recommended restaurant. The Portuguese restaurant is led by Chef Antonio who whipped up a authentic Portuguese food. It is set against a picturesque European-like square
When I stepped foot into the restaurant, I felt I am at some European city.
The restaurant has a warm and cosy, European design theme.
Olives were placed on the table before we got there. They were mainly green. I like it as it wasn’t too salty.
We browsed through the thick menu and some what was lost for choice. We took some time to decide.
Once order was placed, bread with butter were served. Bread was soft and fluffy.
Pastéis de Bacalhau
Fried Codfish Cakes
This dish is mainly a deep fried of the mix of potato and Codfish.
It is best for potato lovers.
Mariscos Diversos na Cataplana à “António” (Caranguejo, Camarão, Ameijoas,Vieiras, e Mexilhões), servido com Batata Cozida
Assorted Seafood Stew “Antonio Style” in a Portuguese Copper Pot (Crab, Prawns, Clams, Scallops, Mussels) and Served with Boiled Potatoes
When I saw the size at serving, I kind of regretted. As it was too huge for Mom and I. But it was worthwhile.
The essence of this pot is the soup. It was full of seafood aroma with zingy tomato taste. It was best to have the soup by dipping it with bread.
Arroz de Pato à Portuguesa
Portuguese Duck Rice
Shredded Duck are ‘buried’ under the rice. Each rice grains were filled with the duck fragrance and some other ingredients.
We enjoyed this dish though we find it a little to salty.
All in all, we enjoyed the food served at Antonio Portuguese Restaurant, though service wasn’t prompt. A number of times, we need to get the plates and so on by ourselves.
